  1. Is the catalina deal with Kraft products still on-going? Is it nationwide?

  2. I miss the $10 off $50 Thursdays. My total at Schnucks was $32, paid $22. There were 19 items, but still, my bags were soooo puny! Sigh.
I found a Pepsi "Rhythem of your Soul" booklet at Schnucks...it has $1 off 4 Pepsi 2L or 12-packs,$1 off any 2 Quaker Grits, $1/2 Lipton 16.9 oz 12 packs, $1 off 4 Sierra Mist bottles or 12 packs, $1/2 Aunt Jemima Mix or Syrup. These were located at the entrance of our store (Eureka) with the ads. This Schnucks also had many Coors Rebates. Kelly

  3. I wish I'd caught your comment about the 10 for $10 before I went today. I was stocking up on $1 Progresso Soups and asked the stock boy if I had to buy 10. Of course, he said yes. I had $5 in coupons alone and really would have preferred to buy less than 10. Oh well...I'll eat it. LOL

  4. Hi Alice - The Kraft Catalina was never advertised at Schnucks so - it was all a guess as to what and for how long.

From what I can tell the, other grocery stores in other parts of the country, that ran this Cat, it was over on Jan 24th.

  5. Hi Kelly - This whole month has been "sigh" at the grocery deals. Thanks for passing on the coupon booklet info. I'll keep my eyes open for it.

  6. Hi Shannon - Couponing is information overload when you first start. It's hard to know or remember all the details. I still learn something new everyday.

Feel free to ask questions. Most of the time, one of my readers will answer before I even get a chance to.

Loved you're Walgreens Gone Wild post.

  7. Last week my husband tried to use the $1 off Quaker Oatmeal coupons at Diebergs and they told him that they would not take them because it was more then 50% of the cost (same policy as SNS). Does anyone know if all Diebergs are now doing this? Is Schnucks doing it now too?

  8. The Schnuck's in Florissant has gallon and quart size ziplocs for $1.49 a box. There were $1.00 off coupons posted with them. I bought 8 boxes and 2 catalinas spit out for $2 a piece off my next grocery order. So, I only paid tax on the ziplocs.

  9. with the the 5 meat or seafood for 19.95 do you know if you can buy 10 for 39.90 and is that a good deal to do??

  10. Quaker coupon user - From what I was told at Dierbergs, the 50% threshold was on the products original or shelf price before the sale. I bought Quaker Quick Oats last week at Dierbergs. I didn't have a problem with the coupon, the regular shelf price was a little over $2. I hope this isn't a cashier by cashier decision of interurpting the policy.

  11. Floissant shopper - Woo Hoo! Don't forget that Ziplock is one of the qualifying products for the $5 S C Johnson rebate. I'm going to see if I can find out any more info and will post this great deal. Thanks for passing on the info.

  12. Meat and Seafood shopper - I'm not sure. You should stop at Customer Service before you shop and clarify the "rules" with them. I personally don't think Dierbergs 5 for $19.95 is a very good deal on most cuts of meat included in the sale. Some of the packages are a good deal, but not all.

  13. I sent an email to Dierbergs about the 50% internet coupons issue and was told its based on the price at the time of the purchase, which means the sale price if it's on sale. But its not always enforced - last night I was able to use a $2.00 internet coupon on soy milk priced at $3.19. I figure if Dierbergs isnt gonna play buy it own rules, neither am I so I just use whatever coupons I can and see if they take them. As far as I know Schnucks hasnt joined the 50% bandwagon but they wont take internet coups for free items.

  14. Hi CJ - Thanks for the info. I like to play by the rules, but it's hard to do with conflicting information.

I used the $1 Oatmeal coupon last week and asked my cashier about it before she checked me out. I trust she has good information becuase she trains the new cashiers. She even asked the cashier next to her if she had the info right where it was 50% of original price. Obviously communication is a problem with Dierbergs like it is at so many other retailers.

Since I do make an effort to know where my IP's come from and that they are legit, I also am going to continue to use them as long as they let me. I'll leave the merchandise at the store if they won't accept them.
