Does anyone know if you can freeze Pillsbury biscuits?
Jeri - Hopefully your upcoming menu plans will include some great recipes/menus that include biscuits. My husband loves the grand bisquits for bisquits and gravy but if several are purchased these usually expire faster than we eat them!!!
ReplyDeleteyou can cook them and freeze them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, I'll try it tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteJeri,
ReplyDeleteI just googled it because I was curious too! The information I found said you can freeze them in their original containers and to thaw completely in the fridge before baking. If not, the may not rise as they should.
You can use them for a pizza, too. Flatten them in the bottom of a 9 x 12 pan, add sauce and topping. It's a filling meal! Kelly
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the info.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try freezing some in the can and freezing some after I've baked them. For this price there is nothing to lose.
Isn't it possible that the can will EXPLODE when frozen?
ReplyDeleteI've been freezing the tubes for a year now. I had one "pop" in the freezer, no big deal. They don't actually explode, LOL! They rise just fine, BTW!
ReplyDeleteHi Denise - I hadn't thought about exploding. I'll put mine in a Ziploc bag I got for free last week at Schnucks.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Val! Nice to hear from someone who has actually froze the biscuits.
The Grands deal worked great, I'm now set for biscuits for the year! I'm going to bake mine before freezing so I can just use 1-2 biscuits at a time. I also got a free stuffed bear for buying 3 greeting cards.

ReplyDeleteIf the Grands Flaky biscuits are $1.39, here is a $1/2 coupon!
Hi CJ - You have room in the freezer? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, T!
ReplyDeleteJeri - Yup, the freezer is a little bare this week, I better get them baked soon before I fill it up again!
ReplyDeleteAfter our SNS shopping (we did 3 transactions because of the cereal deal) my hubby told me "that no buying of food from now on!" LOL. It took me awhile to fit everything in our freezer and in our pantry and up above our sink cabinet where I asked him to lift me up so I can put the 20 boxes of cereal there. :)
ReplyDeleteHi coupon.girl - It's amazing how you can find space for a good deal :)
ReplyDeleteJeri - Do you know the dates on the two catalinas? Hoping they are both good through tomorrow.
ReplyDelete~Staci
Hi Staci - I'm planning on them still working on Sunday. I haven't been to Schnuck yet this week.
ReplyDeleteI know for sure the General Mills one is because it is advertised in their ad good through Sunday. The Pillsbury biscuit Cat is running at many chains across the country. The info I have is that it is running until late in the month.
Thanks, Jeri!
ReplyDeleteGuess we'll find out when we go. =)
~Staci
BTW - I took Morgan on her first $10/50 SNS trip Thursday. Can't keep a couponer home for long, new baby or not!
Hi Staci - I shopped at Schnucks this afternoon and got both Cats. But, I doubt anyone will venture out tonight. Good deal or not.
ReplyDeleteDid you take pics of Morgan's first shopping trip?
