Update: I spoke with the Girl Scout office on the phone. They will accept over the counter pain relief and cold or allergy medicine. Packages need to be unopened.
Have more that a bagful of donations? Fill up any bag and leave it with your April Shower bag. The Girl Scouts will be excited to see lots of goodies at your door.Miss the collection date? Deirbergs will be collecting items from April 15 - May 1.
Would they accept medicines like Aspirin? :I
ReplyDeleteI made a donation run yesterday to get rid of my HBA items. The staff of the (church) pantry which I give to, gives it to a nearby woman shelter. Now a few years back, I walked three times into a Dierbergs with a full milk crate of HBA items and proceed to fill the barrel.
ReplyDeleteHi coupon.girl - I'm not sure. I called the number on the collection bag and had to leave a message. If I hear back from them I'll let you know what they say.
ReplyDeleteCoupon.girl - Girl Scouts just called me back. Yes, they will take over the counter pain relief, allergy and cold medicine. Packages must me unopened for them to use them.
ReplyDeleteJeri - thanks for the info about pain and cold meds. I have some I've been wanting to donate but wasnt sure if they'd take them.
ReplyDeleteHi CJ - I'm glad coupon.girl asked the question. I've always wondered where to donate them too and didn't even think about April Showers until coupon.girl asked.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info! I have alot of the bayer asprin crystals left ;) and tons of toothpaste.
ReplyDeleteGreat to know about the medicines! I've got some I stocked up for the winter but we never used (I don't medicate unless we're really bad!) so I'd love to pass them on.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for the info. :)
