At the Aldi I shop, strawberries had gone up to $1.99. Last night, while watching TV, I saw an ad for Aldi advertising strawberries for 99 cents. I was surprised to see the ad still running.
The prices I've listed reflect the prices of the Aldi I shop at in St. Louis. Your Aldi's prices might vary.

If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been a while:
1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons

Jeri - Strawberries are $1.99 at the Maplewood Aldi too and there's a sign limiting it to 2 per person. Too bad they dont have that sign when they are .99, there would be cheap strawberries left for me! I bought them anyway because they looked so good.
ReplyDeleteI shopped Aldi on Watson Rd. last night. Strawberries were marked as $1.99, but there was a note on those and pineapple that listed them as "$.99 today only"
ReplyDeleteThey were pretty ripe... some started to mold.
Made for a bag of Strawberries in the freezer!!!!
My strawberries are perfect - just ripe and so sweet!
ReplyDeletePick your own at Sunshine Farms in Collinsville. Huge "natural" berries. No pesticides or fertilizers. Very sweet. 6.50 a gallon. I have picked 5 gallons and they are scrumptious perfect for freezing, canning, etc. See other comments sections for directions. Puts Aldi and Driscoll berries to shame.
