Dierbergs Coupon Policy

Dierbergs' Policies and Procedures are now on their website including their coupon policy.

As with any published coupon policy, I suggest you print a copy and keep it with your coupons. Not only to remind yourself, but any cashier that might be a little fuzzy about the rules.

Limit 3 Identical Coupons and 15 Total Coupons
•Offer restricted to 15 manufacturers' coupons per family when coupon value is 40¢ or less.
•Coupons over 40¢ in value or above the 15 coupon limit will be redeemed at face value.
This offer does not apply to "free," Dierbergs or Checkout coupons and excludes items prohibited by law.
•Amount refunded cannot exceed the price of the item.
•Only three identical coupons per day will be doubled.
•Coupons marked "not to be doubled" will be accepted at face value

Internet manufacturer coupons will be redeemed subject to the following restrictions:
•We will only accept coupons for free items that have a purchase requirement exceeding the retail of the free item.
•Internet manufacturer coupons exceeding $5.00 will not be accepted.
•Internet manufacturer coupons that exceed 50% of the regular retail value of the item will not be accepted.
•Internet manufacturer coupons that will not scan or appear to be photocopied will not be accepted.

If an item scans at a price that is higher than the posted shelf price, we will cheerfully give you the product FREE!
This policy does not apply to milk, liquor or tobacco.
Limit 1 FREE item per customer.

•Merchandise returns over $5.00 with a receipt will be refunded.
•Merchandise returns over $5.00 without a receipt will be either
–Exchanged for similar merchandise
-or refunded with a gift card.

Several readers have mentioned their cashier has refuse a Internet printable coupon that was more than 50% of the sale price. The policy clearly states "regular retail price." You can help yourself out in these situations by taking note of the regular retail price when you shop. If your cashier questions the the Internet printable coupon, you'll be ready to help them out with the pricing information.

  1. "This offer does not apply to "free," Dierbergs or Checkout coupons..." ---does this mean we can use MORE THAN (3) identical free coupons since they are not doubled? :I

  2. Hi coupon.girl - Take the policy with you and ask Customer Service. As much as is spelled out in the policy it doesn't cover that issue.

  3. Yes you can. The three is just refering to doubled. Believe me it makes me sooo madd that their clerks say no 3 of any but managers have aggreed with me. Why wouldnt they take more than 3. Its not a loss if they do that but if they double more than 15 they just might have a loss. What is printed on the ad is for doubled.

  4. Whether it's in the ad or posted in the store, a grocer can limit quantity. St. Louis area Schnuck stores will allow 15 doubled MQ at one time, while Dierbergs IT department set up the system for more than 3 MQ and not quite 15 MQ. At the Columbia, MO Schnuck, one is limited to 3 doubles of the same MQ and one can't scan at the U-Scans. Yes, I did attempt to use around a 100 MQ when that store offered Super Doubles and the register locked up.

  6. Ugh. I had a heck of a time using some coupons today. They were the Snapple iced tea buy one get one free printable coupons. First I was told I couldn't use it, then it was because I printed it at home, then because it was for a "free" item, then they no longer accepted printable coupons, so I asked to see their printed coupon policy. She called customer service and finally was told that they could accept that coupon. She then told me that none of the grocery stores are accepting printable coupons anymore. Next time I will be prepared with the coupon policy in my hand.

  7. Hi Lisa - Wow, you heard every excuse. Good for you for knowing the polciy and asking to see a copy. Some days it takes thicker skin and a stronger backbone than others to use coupons.
