  2. AHHH. I hope there are still P&G products when I get back in STL. I only have one day to do this deal and all kinds of scenarios floating in my head of the deals I can get!! P&G sent me a free diapers coupon, and I have been waiting for a catalina deal like this to maximize my coupon. I am thinking:

    2 diapers @ 9.99= 19.98
    2 wipes @ 3.07= 6.14
    Total= 26.12
    -9.99 Free diapers coupon
    -1.50 diapers 6/6 P&G coupon
    -2 wipes 6/6 P&G coupon
    -2 wipes 6/6 P&G coupon

    =$10.63 OOP
    - $10 catalina = $0.63 for 2 diapers and 2 wipes!!

  3. i was thinking since swiffer is a p&g product and there is a buy 20 dollars in swiffer refills get 10 dollars back by mail. buy a little over 20 dollars, buy some dawn use coupons from the home made simple booklet and you should have a close to free transaction..

  4. Olay is a P&G product too and there are a couple $20 rebates out there, and a lot of coupons. Depending on Schnucks' price on Olay products and the coupon matchups, along with the MIR, that might be a good deal too.

  5. I just got my year of savings coupon booklet in the mail today! I love double dippin!

Anonymous - Since I have my new iPhone, I hope I can fiqure out how to use it and post more "from the trenches" posts.

Couponmama - The Cat is running through the 15th a couple of days past the current ad. I'll check next time I'm at Schnucks to see if the sale prices are good through the 15th also. I'll also check to see what kind Olay products they stock.

Sadina - Swiffer is a P&G product. Thanks for the info on the Swiffer rebate.

  8. I do not listen to KHITS, I repeat, I don't listen to KHITS. I heard about the promo while listening to 96.1 FM, which also clued me into Charter is now broadcasting Fox News in HD, along with a few other channels.

  9. Sadina - Good job! It's hard to find a great deal on Swiffer refills.

Kas - Sorry, if I accused you of listening to the wrong station. I rarely listen to the radio, so I'm not familiar with the stations.

Couponmama - The sale on P&G products goes through the end of the month. They'll still be on sale when you get back to town.

  10. I picked up a form for a $10 prepaid MC when you buy $25 worth of P&G at Schnucks several weeks ago. I am going to use Qs, get my $10 catalina and then send in for the MC. Now I just need to figure out the best scenario! With a little planning, I should be able to turn this into a money maker!

  11. Thanks Staci...I completely forgot about that form...I have it too!

  12. Jeri,

When I went and looked for the Gillette body wash I could not find it either in the appropriate isle, but I found it in another isle( with cleaning supplies)...So you might want to ask CS whether they carry it and what isle it is in.

  13. Question: Has anyone ever tried to use walgreens cats at schnucks (or any other grocery in our area?) They are technically MFQ, although they say redeem at Wags. I know in other areas some grocery stores accept them, and wondered if anyone has tried at our stores. It would make a sweet deal if you used the Free Always q's...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Coupon mama I thought of the same thing, but I have not tried it...I don't know if i have the guts to...I have had so many issues with coupons in our area that i don't even want to try...I wish we could though...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sadina: Exactly my thoughts. I'm not really that gutsy :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. I asked CS at Schnuck's in Jefferson City about using Walgreen's RR because Walgreen's had frustrated me so much and I swore off shopping there anymore when I had several RR. CS said they would not take them b/c Walgreens is on it. I had read it will scan as a coupon at any store but after they said no I guessed there has to be a reason they can't/won't accept.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I have used Wags RRs at Schnucks before, but after the first or second time I was told that I couldn't. The managers had a bit of a debate at CS because of how a notice read. The CS manager let me use them and said he would follow up with corporate, but when I asked him later, he didn't have an update. I have been meaning to follow up with corporate myself but haven't.

Hadn't thought about the Always Qs. That would be sweet!

  18. I have asked at several Schnucks if they would accept RR. Both stores told me they would not accept RR for $$ off your next order, but would accept them for a specific product. If I remember correctly the "rules" followed the IP "rules" - not over $5 and not for a free item. But, I could have that part wrong.

If you interested in using the free Always coupon ask at customer service. All they can say is no.

  19. I've used Schnucks/Dierbergs catalinas at SNS but never tried RR. I'm not that bold :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Can we roll this catalina and buy more p&g items? It says that it cannot be used on P&G items on the catalina.Has anyone done it?

    ReplyDelete
  21. With regards to using RRs @ Schnucks, I don't really see how it's anything to do with being bold or gutsy. Just ask at the Service Desk. The worst that could happen is that they would say no. They're not going to tar and feather you, lol!

    ReplyDelete
  22. P&G Catalina question - I've heard it is, but haven't tried it myself. I hope a reader that has tried it themselves will have an answer for you.

RR comment - I couldn't agree with you more.

  23. Does anyone know if Schnucks carries Olay facial cleanser or moisturizer? There are 2 buy $50 get $20 rebates available.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi T - I think Schnucks does. I know I've seen Olay products, but I'm not sure what kind.

  25. Cascade is on sale for $3.99/ea for the large box of powder or liquid. does not include cascade complete.

Dawn is on sale as well; the normal size dawn + olay is $2.00/bottle.

The shelf tags say the "price breaker" prices are running until 6/27.

    Today we bought:
    2 cascade @ 3.99/ea
    1 dawn+olay @ 2.00/ea
    1 tide plus @ 5.99/ea
    1 tide detergent @ 10.94/ea

Planning to go back and pick up more dawn, tide, and tide plus. We have run through our finish stash, and IMO cascade works the best on the dishes. At 3.50 a box plus the $10 cat, it's hard to beat.

FYI, it appears that the new phosphate free versions of cascade are out in missouri. Federal law requires all dishwasher detergents to be phosphate free by July 2010, to protect the environment. I like to try to be a bit greener, so it's nice that phosphate free is getting mainstreamed.

  26. If you are looking for the Gillette body wash, the 94/Jungermann Schnucks carries it. I got some great deals there tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I went to schnucks today to the deal and got the olay effects with free ivory body wash, tampax and satin care. i paid 10.97 oop and got back 10.00!

  28. Schnucks at Twin Oaks has both gillette body wash and old spice. They also have gillette hair care clearanced. They also had a ton of olay products, if anyone is interested.

I mustered up some nerve and asked the customer service desk if I could use the "Always" coupons from WAGS a few weeks ago and they said no. Oh well.

  29. Hi couponmama - Staci just forwarded me an email she received from Consumer Affairs at Schnucks about Cats from other stores and RR. It stated they you accept RR and Cats from other stores for a specific product, but not money off your next order. You should call or email Schnucks. If this keeps up you might spend your day on the phone.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Jeri, I emailed them myself this morning and got a super quick response. They did confirm that they take competitor catalina coupons for specific products but not for money off your next order. Good to know. Will be going to Schnucks today with email in HAND.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Keep us posted, couponmama. I'm interested in what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Woohoo! Just got back from Schnucks and used the Wags Always Qs with no problem!

    I bought:
    2 Luvs diapers @ $7.99 ea
    1 Always pads @ $3.47
    1 Always liners @ $3.57
    2 Puffs w/lotion @ $0.99 ea
    Total was $25 exactly!

    Used:
2 $2.50 Luvs Qs just rec'd in mail yesterday
free Always pads and liner Qs
last 2 vocalpoint Puffs Qs - $0.50 each

    $25 - $13.04 = $11.96 OOP & rec'd $10 off next purchase

I took the email with me and showed it to the cashier before she even started ringing so she could verify.

Thank you, couponmama, for suggesting the Always Qs; and thank you, Jeri, for alerting us to the P&G offer to begin with. My wallet thanks you, too!

  33. Hi Staci - You must have felt like a three headed monster when checking out. Collectively we can come up with some monster deals.Great job!

  34. Whoo. I emailed corporate too and got a response that they take competitor catalina coupons (MFQ) for specific items, but not $ off your next purchases. Armed with that, I went to Schnucks. Whoo hoo. I would strongly advise anyone attempting to do this to email corporate themselves and get their own email--I doubt I would have gotten it otherwise. It also requires a manager override (doesn't automatically go through), so you may want to warn the people behind you in line. If you are like me, you will warn them, but they won't believe you that it will take very long (because you have 5 items) and then when it DOES take forever they will get huffy :) Oh well.

    So I got:
    Tide Stain release $3.49
2 CG Trueblend Mineral Foundation, clearanced for $6.64 each
    3 Always Pads $3.47 each

    Used:
    -$1 off Tide 6/6 P&G
-$8 off covergirl Wags catalina that someone had thrown on the ground in the pouring rain that I picked up and dried off!! People are throwing away free money!!
-3 FREE ALWAYS pads Wags catalina (which took off $3.47 each)

    Subtotal before coupons: $27.18
    Subtotal after coupons: $8.35

    $1.65 MM

    Received $10 ONYO

WHOO HOOOOOOOOOO. The cashier was amazed, lol. The people behind me in line, not so much :)

Thanks to all who encouraged emailing corporate.
