A couple weeks back, I found Kim's Pizza and got the small Chef Salad. No hassles and the owner was real friendly. My 'freebie' came in a styroform small box and the item was pre-made. IMHO, use a small to-go plate, make the Chef Salad while the customer waits and wrap a piece of foil around. It's important that small restuarants control all costs and watch the bottom line. The woman who came in with a stack of coupons for the 'free' pizza would be told, sorry we only honor one per visit.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I left with too many questions. It was a Saturday night and only one table with two customer sharing a large pizza. The pie showed uneven cooking and was like a style popular back in the 70s. The size of the interior and whether there is safe off-street parking makes these newspaper promotions puzzling. Perhaps those coupon(s) in Journals papers or in a targeted mailer would have made more sense.
Pre-cooked toasted raviolis that have been sitting around for awhile don't taste that great. Still a good Marinara sauce can help.
