  2. Wow! I can't wait to get my plan together (I've been stalking your blog waiting for the match-ups :) I was excited about the cheap soda, but hadn't looked much further than that. What an awesome week!!

  3. What a great week! I finally got a wireless printer that will work with our macs, so better get printing! Definitely gonna be a two-trip (at least) week this week!

If anyone happens to go to check prices, I'd love to know how much Grande tortilla chips (got my FREE bag Q in the mail!) and Chi Chi's tortillas & snackers are this week.

  4. Hi All--New National Cat deals are coming soon--gonna be some possible DDs on Old El Paso, GG vegie boxes and Hamburger Helpers, with the instant $5 off this is gonna be some real cheap food and $ back for beef/chicken. These cats should start within this SNS ad dates/sale prices-- am waiting on offical date for our area. HTH =)

  5. Wow! I've been stalking too waiting for the match-up. I'm just too new to figure out all the best deals myself! :) Thanks for all you do! I've never made more than one trip into sns but tomorrow might be the day to do it!

  6. Oh I do have a question...can you do the GM and Keebler/Kelloggs deal more than once during one transaction?

  7. Hi All- This coupon might help out this week -you might want to print now. It will go quick. http://brands.kraftfoods.com/kraftcheese/index.html =)

  8. I have not shopped at Shop N Save for awhile - but these deals are looking pretty good. What is the Thursday policy regarding using coupons - is it if your total is $50 before coupons then you get the $10 off plus your coupons off? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Jenny - The $10 is taken off before any coupons as long as your total is over $50. Good luck to everyone on Thursday!

I found Ronzoni spaghetti on clearance at the Kirkwood SNS yesterday for $1.15. I had 3 $1 coupons I've been carrying around forever, so I got 3 boxes for .15 each! I love unexpected deals!

If you have a Discover card, get 5% cash back on your first $200 in groceries in Sept. Sign up at Discovercard.com.

  10. Also if anyone has the Entertainment book there are coupons for $5 off $50 gift card purchase - which adds up to more savings! There are some restrictions but still a good deal :)

  11. Hi Everyone - Sorry I turned you all into stalkers. Between computer troubles and car problems I was beginning to wonder if I was going to get it posted at all. Now I'm back on track.

Staci - I checked yesterday on Grande Chips and the store I was at no longer stocks them. I din't check on Chi Chi's products.

Amanada - Casey left a comment on another post. She called the Shrewbury store and was told the GM deal was limited to (1) per transaction.

Jenny - I see CJ has already answered, thanks. If you have a $5 off $50 coupon from an Entertainment Book use that too. It makes it $15 off $50!

  12. Yesterday, I grabbed a couple ice creams, since the PF $.45 MQ was expiring. Also used (4) expiring $1.00 wine tag Q on pizzas, except I skipped those $1.17 nasty ones. Finally, grabbed the last two Sara Lee pumpkin pies that were on clearance for two bucks.

Also yesterday I was shopping at the ALPS in Florissant and spotted the 12 packs of Diet Pepsi for $1.75. Can't say if those $2.00 Q that the chains are offering will work or not. My primarily reason for stopping was to buy some of the rolls of Farmland Sausage @$.99 and use a few expiring $1.00/2 MQ.

  14. Can we use the $5/5 Kraft coupon that Janet posted making kraft cheese .67 each or does that violate shop n save's coupon policy? Thanks for posting Janet - great coupon!

  15. Hi All--Someone asked about the GM instant off promo stacking--usually they do--last promo this one did--I'm thinking CS @ Shrewsberry might be wrong. I will be trying 20 items in plan--so I'm hoping it is like last time. Also to Jenny--YMMV on using the -5/5 on the $1.67 cheeses but you should be good to go on the 2.00 Kraft Singles. HTH =) To Kas--How is the Farmland roll sausage? TIA

  16. WooHoo. Am also guilty of being a stalker for this particular blog. And my head is spinning right now trying to figure out the best plan list. Someone, please do my list for me. *just kidding* ;)

Much Thanks, Ms. Jeri. Thanks everyone for the additional info. :)

@ Janet, am not as brave as you to try the GM instant off promo stacking. Are you shopping early tomorrow? Will you...please...post your experience as soon as you get back home from your shopping. Will really appreciate it. TIA, a lot. :)

  19. Hi All--So Sorry for the double post--I think my computer froze from the excitement. =) FYI The GM Promo does stack--Just Confirmed--a good friend called and stated her receipt showed a "$10 instant off per GM" when she purchaed 20 items =) HTH

  20. Janet, do the progresso or kraft cats roll??

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi Couponmama--Both should be rollers =)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hi Janet - Thanks for confirming the GM deal stacks. I could buy $50 in GM products alone, but I don't think I'll push it that far.

Hi Couponmama - I'm in agreement with Janet, I've never seen a Cat at the grocery store that didn't roll. Walgreens has warped our minds. Now, that I said that, there will be some Cat that won't roll.

  23. Jeri did your hand cramp up when you had to type up all 846 deals at SNS this week? lol

  24. My wife just tried the $5 off Kraft cheese coupon at the Shrewsbury store and she was denied. She was trying to buy the Kraft shredded cheese 3/$5. The checker didn't even try to scan the coupon. The checker immediately took it to the head checker/manager and she said it was not valid and that they have emails stating they can't take coupons for more than 50% off the price; blah, blah. My wife even tried the 50% off regular price versus sale price argument but that did not help; they were getting upset.

    FYI,
    Willie

    p.s. I love this site.

  25. Janet, the Farmland Sausage is okay and IMHO, a good value for the money. SnS has ran rolls for a dollar in the past. If I ever get around to making sausage gravy, I rather use this then the rabbit pellets (pork/soy) that Denny's and Hardee now use.

Gravois store has quit letting the consumer scan MQ at the U-Scan.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi Marcella - No cramps from typing, I just couldn't keep focused. I kept thinking about my shopping trip(s) for the week.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hi Kas--Thanks for the FYI on Farmland. If you go to www.farmlandfoods.com you can ask for coupons to be sent snail mail. =)

Also--I printed a copy of the SNS coupon policy to take with me in the morning just in case. Might come in hand after Willies post. A stop at the CS desk can also clear things up before shopping--as Jeri stated.

Also--The Kraft coupon is coded to "Beep" for cashier verification that the correct # of items were purchased--Just a heads up. =)

I bet we break a record on Jeri's site for # of posts in the SNS listing tomorrow =) LOL

  30. Isn't Thursday's price just 20% cheaper. I'm having a hard time understanding why each of deals are significantly more than 20% cheaper on Thursday. For example, for the Pepsi/Coke deal...why is it 25% cheaper on Thursday? I'm confused.

    ReplyDelete
  31. When you buy $50 worth of groceries on Thursday, $10 is taken off your bill (here's the important part) before other coupons are taken off. So in the soda example, if you buy right at $50 worth of total groceries, you would get 20% off (each soda is now $2). Then the coupon is applied ($2 coupon / 4 packs = $0.50 discount each). Final Thursday price=$1.50.

For the products that are part of the instant savings deals or in ad coupons, the Thursday price reflects the 20% discount, any other coupons, and the instant savings (which is why it says wyb 10 - when you buy 10 - or whatever the deal is)

keep in mind that your Thursday purchase needs to be $50 without tax (or other excluded items like milk, pharmacy). However, if you purchase much more than $50, your % savings on the $10/$50 decreases. HTH

  38. I was just printing from the Betty Crocker website and notice the Pizza Rolls coupon is now $1 off 2 and the Hamburger Helper is $1 off 3! Wahoo!

  39. Jeri - I tried to call the # you listed for SNS Corp office 314-894-0900 (I wanted to confirm the kraft q before I went in) but the number went to McArthurs Bakery - Do you have the correct # for SNS Corp? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hi Jenny - OMG! I transposed numbers.

Here is the correct number for SNS 314-984-0900

  41. Has anyone confirmed that the Kraft catalina is rolling?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Oh my, I really have to focus on my list now. Reading everyone's inputs here is making not only my head but my whole being spin. LOL.

    Thanks everyone.

E-mailing SNS Corporate about the Kraft $5 IPQ might be a better idea (would get e-mail and print-out) if only they would reply today.

Am with Anon, don't forget the Fuel for School booklet Keebler/Kellogs coupons if you still have them.

  43. fyi, http://www.eatbetteramerica.com/coupons/ has higher value gm coupons than those listed on the matchups :)

  44. I used my $5 off 5 coupon on the $1.67 cheese without incident at the Crestwood SNS. I did stop by the CS desk first and the manager said it was fine and recited the coupon policy as stated online. I just wanted to have an OK first before I went through the check out line. then I went to the line with a teenage boy as cashier. I gave him that coupon first and it beeped. He did whatever it is that you do to override it and continued.

I spent $17 and got $6 in catalinas back. Woohoo!

  45. Hi All--T @ The Happy Clipper--The Hamburger Helpers are going on Cat special after the 6th--if you can hold off purchasing--similiar to OEP deal B3 G1.00 off Beef/Cken-- B6 G 3.00 off Beef/Cken. HTH And the GM Buy 10 get $5.00 off instant is still going next week--the current ad ends on the 11th.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Great news everyone! I just spoke with Meredith @ SNS corp and they WILL be accepting the Kraft coupon - she said they are making an exception this time for it since they know their prices are competitive and the coupon is a good one - they just sent an email to all managers so if you have any problems, ask for the manager! Willie hopefully your wife can go back and use the coupon this time. Just wanted to share this with everyone in case anyone has problems with it (I was sure I would that is why I called before going).

  47. Was anyone able to purchase 20 GM products and receive $10off? My transaction only took off $5, but I got two of the BoxTop Printouts. CS said "One per transaction", but that isn't in the ad....
    -Andrea

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hi Andrea--I was able to get a -10 off GM on the promo. Double ck your items--if you rec'd 2 Box Top bonus cats you should have rec'd the extra 5.00 off. HTH =)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Thanks Janet, I am going to send a note to CS...
I didn't want to try my 2nd trip b/c it also has 20 GM items.

  50. I went to Ofallon SNS this morning I went to the register with 4 shredded cheese and one kraft single. They would not accept the coupon unless I bought $10 worth of cheese, although this is not how the coupon reads I bought another pack of singles. My total was $10.92-5.00..... $5.92 plus the $5 cat. you cant beat that. My next transaction I bought with my regular groceries 5 capri suns and got a $5 cat.

  51. Not sure if it was a fluke at the St. John store, but the PF sour cream rang up at $.50. Made my sour cream free (after Entertainment Book & STL Attraction Qs), but messed up my totals. I had to add on another item. The register didn't readily accept my $5/5 Kraft Q, but they took it both times. I did 2 trips, spent $28 OOP and have a $5 cat for next trip. Seriously thinking about doing one more run this afternoon while dd is at dance.

Jeri, my store did have the Grande chips, but they have reduced the selection to one or two kinds (spoke w/an employee) and they are on sale for $2. Used my 3 try-me-free Qs for a great deal on chips!

Having so much fun today! Just completed my second trip. The Twin Oaks took the $5/5 with no problems. Have already rolled the Cat once. So far my totals are $25.24 OOP for the $100 and change of groceries. After my $25 Amstel rebate, I will have gotten it all for $0.24. Still planning one more trip to get $30 of meat for another rebate and some other goodies. SO MUCH FUN!!!

(PS - Is it wrong that this shopping is wearing me out and I may ask DH if we can get take out tonight? I have a coupon! :J )

    ReplyDelete
  53. So glad to hear you didn't have any problems at Twin Oaks, Kelly! How is the cheese supply there? I won't be able to make it until almost 5pm and I want 10 bags!

  54. Kelly in West CountySeptember 2, 2010 at 2:14 PM

They are keeping the store really well stocked. I complimented one of the stockers. They are working hard to keep up with demand, but things were looking good on both of my trips. Soda is flying out of the store. (I have never seen the parking lot that crowded!)

    ReplyDelete
  55. They stil have tons of cheese.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Has anyone tried the Capri Sun Cat? I bought two 100% Juice Capri Suns and didn't receive the cat. Not sure if I should call Catalina or not.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Has anyone tried the $1.88 Keebler Sandwich crackers with the $4/5 in ad Q? I don't see them listed as a "participating product"....

    ReplyDelete
  58. Andrea - I noticed that too as I was in line to checkout, but it worked for me.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hi All-- I am glad everyone is having a good shopping day--some minor glitches but still all very good.

Julie I will ck the Kraft UPC list for the 100% Juices to see if they are included. BB

    ReplyDelete
  60. Hi Julie--Every Capri Sun BUT the 100 % Juice kind are on the Cat list. =(

I just returned from my last 2 trips--LOL--took my pictures. I'm gonna type up a cheat sheet with all totals. Yep--Gotta LOVE SNS on these days. =)

Andrea: I did not try the crackers but thought about next week there *Maybe* another national Cat deal with Kellogg buy 10 get 10 ONYO. I was waiting on further comfirmation on that one. Will post further details when I know more. HTH =)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thanks T!!!!!

My 2nd trip was GREAT!! .90 w/ tax for $50 of groceries and received the $5 for Kraft, $3 for Progresso, and $3.50 for FiberOne Bars Cats!!

My 3rd trip should be around $2!!!! Then I am done and out of Qs for now..... Thanks for all the sharing today everyone : )

    ReplyDelete
  62. Janet - Do you think the Kellogg's Cat already started today? That is the date I saw, but you seem to have a much better source. I could change up my last scenario to buy 10 of the crackers if that would earn a $10cat. Wow, too much fun today. Good thing my ds is home "sick" but now he is sick of shopping ; )

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hi Everyone - This is such a fun thread to read. Thank you all for your contributions.

I've shopped 3 times for $4.25 out of pocket and $18 in Cats still to spend. I'm hoping to get back for another go around, but first, I'm volunteering this evening at a concession stand at the Dome for my son's schools' athletic dept. fundraiser.

Have a great evening for those of you yet to shop.

    ReplyDelete
  64. The Grande chips that are 2/$4 rang up $3.38 at my store (Harvester in St Charles) so be sure to watch the price if you get those!

Can't believe how easy my trips were today and such great deals. I have not shopped at SNS for at least 3 years but I'm going to be back there more often if they keep having great deals like this. Thanks to Jeri for this site and a everyone for all their input, I saved 77% first trip and 79% second trip!

  65. Hi Andrea--I have a start date of 9/2 BUT sometimes that can vary by a day or two. Was waiting to hear if any "peeps" report back.

    Deal if all good:

    10 Keebler Crackers 18.80
    - SNS in AD Q -8.00
    - -1/2 MQs -5.00
    = $5.80 OOP
EARN 10.00 Cat WOW !!!!!! Who's got the coupons to try it????? If it works out right--thats a $4.20 MM SssssHhhhhhh don't tell no one ROFL =)

    ReplyDelete
  66. the progresso soups were ringing up 1.96 for me :( boooo. also, i had issues with my 2nd GM coming off-- i wonder if it was because of the progresso. They had really low stock of it too.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hi Couponmama--Only the Progressos shown in the ad and marked at $1.34 work for the cat deal. And most likely why the second GM discount did not come off. HTH

  68. Hi All--the Kelloggs Cat Promo is reported as working Buy 10 items get 10.00 OYNO--YIKES if this is true I might have to make another trip out to test it. Trying to get a list of all items included. YIKES Just Yikes In a good way of course. =)

  71. Do we need 2 of the Store Qs for this deal? Or does the full amt come off when she keys it the first time. TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  72. andrea -
what all did you get for .90?? and 2.00?
I am still getting the hang of this couponing thing so need a little help sometimes. I thought I did pretty good getting 50 for 21.00. I wish I had more storage space to stock up. :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Janet, the progresso's were "traditional" and marked on the shelf as 1.34, but rang up 1.96. There was like ZERO selection at my store too. Twin Oaks is starting to annoy me. At least they let me use the kraft coupon.

    ReplyDelete
  74. flattsfan96 - You did great! It takes time.
I spent $17 on my first transaction today, but earned #11.50 in cats. So for the .90 and $2 I have $11.50 in catalinas on top of coupons to apply. That is how I get it down so low. HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  75. insert text Andrea's SNS Spreadsheet

(My first was $17, but should have been $5 less, I had issues w/ grabbing the wrong soup.....)

  78. After 3 trips today I spent $37.27 OOP and Saved $192.43. Grand total of 83.8% savings. Plus a little more b/c before I started today I bought a SNS gift card with the $5 off $50 Entertainment book coupon for $45. I have a bunch of those suckers I've got to use up before they expire 11/1.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Thanks so much for the match-ups! Those Betty Crocker coupons were great too, nice higher value. I bought 21 GM items on my first order and got 2 box top coupons but only $5 was taken off so I didn't try it again. Otherwise it was a great day to be at SNS!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I did great today! I wanted to do more rounds but my brain could not function anymore. I spent $81 and saved $452 (85%). Thought that was pretty good since I still have a $5 cat and purchased 12 cases of soda. Plus my school gets $45 in box tops!

  81. plz someone remind me never to do my shopping at 10pm on mega thursday :( everything out of stock pretty much. no libby's, no diet cokes, no ritz crackerfuls, no shake and pours, bad selection of progresso (and that was only bc they were stuck in the can thing and I fished them out), almost no bc potatoes....yikes. i still pulled it together and did ok though :D

    ReplyDelete
  82. couponmama - Sometimes it doesnt pay to shop at SNS the day after mega Thurs either. Some Fridays the shelves are still bare from the pilaging the day before! I ventured out yesterday just for cheese and Libbys because I figured there'd be none left today.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Did anyone know you can only do 2 transactions? I wanted to do three and they wouldn't let me. I would have planned on two trips if I'd known that.

    ReplyDelete
  84. This is funny...and annoying. I had 2 internet printables - $1 off 2 for the pizza rolls. I bought 4 boxes. The cashier told me she couldn't accept the second coupon because it said "DO NOT DOUBLE" at the top! Are you kidding me??? Of course, I won that battle.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Hello & Good Morning to All--

*T* That is just to funny =) But does show some need more training and you helped him/her with that.

Finished my EOM household budget totals for August and began Septembers.

Finished my tally cheat sheet from yesterdays shopping adventures. =)LOL I have to say I still have a Perma Smile =)

Also Megan--Just a thought--do you have another store close to do more transactions?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Janet - Thank you for all the help! I agree, there were a few minor glitches. But overall, for SNS, it was working well.

Flattfan96 - Welcome to couponing. You did great! Don't compare what you do to others. The longer you coupon, the lower out of pocket you spend. Think outside the box for storage space. There is no reason you can't store soup under the bed.

Andrea - Thanks for the link to your spreadsheet!

Megan - It all depends on the store and multiple transactions. I never do back to back trasnactions at SNS, because my store is so slow at checking out and rining up the coupons. I don't want to hold people up in line behind me.

I'll take one transaction to the car and head back in for more. I'm only good for 2 transactions per trip. After than I need to regroup. I'll take my haul home and get my next trip planned.

I also like Janet's suggestion of shopping at another store. I do that at time when one store is out of a product. Sometimes the other store will still have it in stock.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Thank you for your help, Jeri! SnS was awesome!! Three transactions, $4.11, $4.91, and $3.53 oop and I still have two $5 catalinas for later, so about $2.50 net spent for a whole pile of groceries! I didn't know about any two transaction limit. I went to different cashiers each time.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Hi Gloria - You welcome. Great job shopping.

There is nothing in writing about limiting the number of transaction you can do on a $10 off $50 Thrusday. As always, some store make their own rules.

I've never had anyone say anything to me about multiple shops, even when I've had to go to Customer Service after each one because something didn't happen as it should.

    ReplyDelete
  89. is the kelloggs promo buy 10 get 10onyo promo working yet ?

  90. Hi Becky - I know Janet is trying to confirm when this starts at SNS. I'll post something as soon as I hear anything.
