Note: Unadvertised prices may vary between Target stores. The prices I've listed in ongoing deals reflect the prices at the Hampton Village Target in St Louis. Hopefully, prices at the Target you shop will be about the same or even less.

Went to Target Sunday morning and got the scotch tape, their register is ringing the coupon at $.50 instead of $1.00. My Target store was unwilling to correct it.
ReplyDeleteHi jpk1209 - Not only the words, but the numbers below the bar code say that coupon is $1 off 3. Taret wouldn't honor what the coupon said? Did you ask to speak to a manager or at least leave the tape at the store?
ReplyDeleteTarget registers are starting to self-adjust coupons to prevent overage, but the only problem is that it doesn't recognize when the coupon is for multiples, like $1 off 3. So it gives you the price of one and that's it. They need to figure out how to get it fixed.
ReplyDeleteJenn
A quick review on this set of UPC codes. I'm referring to the single row on the left. If the second group ends in '76', this indicate $1.00 will be deducted on one item. However, when it's a '42', again a $1.00 is deducted, except three items must be purchased. Will Target allow us to use that '42' MQ on just one or two items, I doubt it. Bottom line, if one buys 3 rolls @$.50, then a $1.00 MQ should result in $.50/3 plus tax on that amount. Finally, if only $.50 is detucted, does the cashier immediately note on the MQ that fact.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn - That makes sense why it has happened. Target employees have to be aware of what is happening also.
ReplyDeleteIf corp. doesn't fix the problem the should manually enter the correct amount of the coupon in the register.
The Tide and the Clean and Clear coupon beeped when I tried to buy the .97 products. The cashier would not take the Tide even though I told him it was for ANY. He took the Clean and Clear only I gave him the same argument. I love shopping at Target but sometimes I wish I didn't have so many problems with the coupons.
ReplyDeleteI got the last 2 Post It note pads at the Kirkwood Target today. There wasnt even a slot or sign for them, just 2 of them laying upsidedown on the bottom shelf after I'd looked everywhere else. I guess they're sold out of them already, the day after the sale started.
ReplyDeleteI was at target yesterday afternoon and they did not have any of the post its or tape.
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous - I agree I also love Target deals, but hate that you never know what a cashier will or won't do with the coupons. It makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteHi CJ & Sadina - If Targets out, ask for a raincheck or a substitute product. Both of these items were in their ad.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ms. Jeri! Hello, all! :)
ReplyDeleteIf you click on the post it and scotch tape on the Target's ad online, it says there "Not available in some stores. Back-To-School Shop. Seasonal merchandise; no rain checks." :(
I kind of feel bad. These past few days, with all the coupon problems/items out of stock at Walgreens and Target plus the humidity being intense, I am burnt out! :(
Wish it will snow for I'm sure EVERYONE here in St. Louis will be outside playing with it/on it/in it/under it! Wouldn't it be a sweet pretty site? Ughs, do I sound like am literally burnt?!? :)
Hi Coupon.girl - Thanks! I should read the fine print better. That info you quoted is also in the print ad.
ReplyDeleteMy mind has turned to mush with this hot weather. I usually look forward to summer even with the heat. But, this year I'm not dealing with it well at all.
I've heard that $1 is the regular price for the Post Its at Target anyways so not really a sale price.
ReplyDeleteI was at the Target on Rusty Road in South County today and they had tons of the Scotch tape in the school supply area. They were hanging on pegs but were marked $1.00 and did not have sale tags on them. They did scan at $.50 though!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kelly!
ReplyDeleteNo post-it notes or scotch tape at the Ballwin Target.
ReplyDeleteThank you to everyone for the heads-up about some cashier attitudes. I was prepared to ask that my transaction be moved to CS and armed with the coupon policy when I was told by both areas that I couldn't use my coupons for the travel items.
Kelly - I want to hear the rest of the story. (Am I the only one hear old enough to remember Paul Harvey?)
ReplyDeleteDid they let you use your coupons on trial size after you pulled out the coupon policy?
Yes - with a huff. I just put on my sweetest smile and explained that they could adjust the price of the coupon....and the Tide coupon did not state a specific size - there were no exclusions. :-)
ReplyDeleteI thanked them at the end of the transaction and got the could shoulder in return - but all my coupons worked! :-)
Thanks Kelly for the rest of the story.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. It does take a strong backbone and thick skin to backbone.
A good time at Target today, no coupon issues and my cashier was more exited about my savings than I was! Got a nice metal bathroom shelf/towel rack for just $3.49 after $10 coupon from the Target website, free Chef Boyardee ravioli, 2 free Sobe teas, and 4 Hartz cat treats for .16 each. Used $21 in coupons and paid $7.91.
ReplyDeleteThe bagel bites coupon is no longer available. :(
ReplyDeleteHi CJ - Good to hear about a good trip to Target.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim for the update.
