Target Deals - Week of 3/27/11

I'm including not only prices advertised in the local ad, but prices in a Super Target ad also. I find the regular Targets have these prices for the week too. But, check before you buy to make sure.

Remember: You can use a manufacturer and Target store coupon on the same product.

  1. I'm not sure what's going on at Hampton Target. Last night, my checker told me that there was a new manager and they are changing their coupon acceptance policy. She was trying to tell me that they are only going to accept 4 coupons per transaction. I didn't believe her and she finally took all my coupons. But before me, she made someone check out 6 times. She also told me she upset a few other people. So beware...

I may be shopping at Kirkwood more now thanks to the remodel anyway.

  2. Thanks Kim! I may be shopping elsewhere too. What's the prupose of that "rule", except to upset employees, couponers and the people in line behind them.

  3. The Kirkwood Target isnt much better. I used 8 coupons today but they overcharged me for Propel water, didnt give me the .05 bag credit, were totally out of Benefiber again, and the cashier entered my $2 Bandaid coupon as a charge instead of deducting it even after staring at it for several minutes. So I'll have to go back tomorrow and straighten out that mess. The new grocery section is nice but too crowded today to even look at anything.

  4. I only shop Target early in the morning during the week much easier!

Thanks for the heads up Kim I liked that store better because they have always seemed to take coupons the others would give trouble about.

CJ..I heard there are problems with that coupon even at CVS last week with it scanning wrong.

  5. Hi CJ & Rachelstl - I used to like to shop at Target. Then, last summer when the registers had such a coupon glitch, I stopped. I've found using coupons better, but I still don't get there very much.

I still find trying to read the receipt frustrating and TPC at some store and not others, bother me.

  6. Did anyone receive the Target Easter coupon mailer? I'm trying to figure out where to get one for the $5 Disney movie Q to match up with my manf. Q for Tangled (Easter present for my girls)
    Thanks!

  7. Hi Anonymous - I didn't get the Target Easter mailer. I hope someone did and can help you out.

  8. Got 2 free (.51 profit on each) Secret Clinical travel size deos last night at Target using 2 $3 coupons that didnt specify a size. It's funny how the register beeps when trying to use a $1 coupon on a .99 travel size item, but it automatically took the $3 coupons for $2.49 Secret travel size and gave overage. I dont understand Target some days! But I did get my money back for my missed BandAid coupon, Propel overcharge and missed bag credit. I was able to stroll through the grocery section. The prices are okay but not as good as the grocery store sales.

  9. Hi, CJ. Where did you get the $3 Q for the Secret deo? TIA. :)

  10. coupon.girl - I dont remember where I got them. They were 2 different ones for $3 each. Maybe they came with a sample or home mailer. I'm going to start writing the source of my good coupons on the back of them, I can never remember where I got them.

  11. I got this deal today:

    2 Aveeno bar soap - $2.89 each
    -$3/2 mfr coupon (3/27 SS - I think)
    -2 $1/1 target printable coupons
    Total - $.78 or $.39 each

My target lets me use 2 identical target coupons.

  12. Night before last I went into the Dardene Prairie Target and was informed that they will no longer take a target coupon and a man. coupon on medicine and also that you are no longer allowed to use more than one target coupon. Has anyone else had this happen? The guy checking me out missed a bunch of my coupons(which was weird because I was watching him, it was like he had to have been doing it on purpose)and he was extremely rude. I didn't notice the skipped coupons on my receipt till later. I think ill be going to the Wentzville Target in the future.

  13. Hi All

CJ - It's just not Target I don't understand with coupons. When you think about it - I don't know if I can think of another financial transaction that can't be done electronically, except for coupons. Why does a $0.25 coupon have to be handled manually and take so long for the store to be reinbursed?

Jewell - I've heard of other store imposing more restrictions on coupons and others not. And, I know I've had a cashier purposely miss a coupons. When my total wasn't what I was expecting, she instantly knew what coupon she "might have missed"

I've also learned to stop at Customer Service and ask to speak to the head manager if I the cashier is rude. You would be surprised how glad the managers are that you took your time to stop and speak with them about your expierence.

  15. Just a heads up regarding Target and Q's. Two times in the past two months, I've used Target Q's to get very good deals on their signature products (once Mossimo jeans and once Market Pantry chicken). The problem is their system totally made up a different amount for the items. The jeans were on sale for $5 and I had a $5 Q, so the system charged me $14.99 then took off the $5. What nonsense! I just returned the jeans. They were pretty crappy anyway. As for the chicken, my nice CS lady gave me a $5 Target g.c. to make up for the fact that she had no idea what happened or how to fix it. I shop at Hampton Village.

  16. Hi Denise - Thanks for the heads up.

I've never been able to read Target receipts. The only way I will shop there is if I know exactly what I should be paying after coupons + 10% give or take for tax. If my receipt comes out close I won't even bother looking at it. If it's not, I head to CS.

  17. I watch the screen & if a coupon doesn't lower the total I tell them that didn't go through & make them re scan the coupon & lately things have gone as planned.

  18. Hi Rachelstl - Thanks for the tip. I must not shop enough at Target because I have a hard time following the register too.

  19. With the new Q policy at WalMart, I don't think I will bother with Target much anymore!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I would think that Target would want to be more generous with their coupon policy instead of further limiting it, now that Walmart is allowing for overage and cash back. I'll be sure to mention that if my Target stops allowing stacked coupons or limiting coupons per transaction.

  21. Hi All - I hope all other retailers take a look at Walmarts new coupon policy. They have done a good job of spelling out what they will do.

  22. While Walmart's new coupon policy is great, I still get beeping EVERY TIME I use coupons there!
