Walgreens Field Notes - Week of 3/13/11

A few additional comments for what is going on with Walgreens sales this week.  See this week's Deals and coupon match-ups HERE.
  • Entertainment Books -  At both mine and CJ's store, the Entertainment books were behind the counter.  If you don't see them out, make sure you ask.  Mine rang up at $35 before the coupon.
  • Right Guard Deodorant - The B1G1 coupon in today's paper (3/13/11 PR) has a maximum value of $4.49.  Some of the Right Guards are price at $4.79.  Make sure you check prices before you buy, so you get both for free. (Thanks, Anonymous!)
  • Right Guard Body Wash  - Is also on a B1G1 sale with a shelf price of $5.99.  Use the same B1G1 coupon as the deodorant (3/13/11 RP), but since the coupon is up to  $4.79, you won't get two free in this case.  (Thanks, pixie_bit!)
  • Dial NutriSkin Lotion (21 oz) - The store I shop never got this product in.  But, since the disclaimer on the back page of Walgreens ad states, "Sale merchandise may not be available at all stores and only while supplies last," they have their bases covered.  Did anyone else find it at their store?
  • Dial NutriSkin Lotion (1 oz) - No big bottles, but the store I was at had 1 oz. bottles on display at the beauty counter for $0.99.  The Dial NutriSkin Lotion coupons (3/13/11 RP) has no size restrictions, you can use the on the trial size.
  • Excedrin - The only Excedrin PM I could find was priced $5.99.  Still not a bad deal with the RR
  • Clearasil - I found Clearasil Daily Face Wash and Clean Pads priced at $3.79 with a $2 Register Reward with purchase. Use the $1 coupon (3/13/11 SS), pay $2.79 and get back $2 in RR.
  • Gas-X Prevention - Is included in the $4.99 sale.  Use $4 coupon (12/12/10 SS) and pick it up for $0.99
  • Frozen Food Clearance - I found Starbucks Ice Cream for $1.29

If you have any additional info for Walgreens this week, please leave a comment.

  2. The Walgreens pull-ups are included in the sale but the infant care coupon only works on the diapers. Still not bad - one pack of diapers and one pack of pull-ups for $7.50 :)

I also found some good deals in the freezer case. Walgreens fruit bars - $.90 and ice cream bars (nestle) for $1.19

  3. I found the 21 oz NutriSkin at the Olivette Wags. They had the 1 oz in a plastic container by the cosmetics counter as well. I only had one Q with me so I got the big bottle. I used my Q before I saw the small ones, so I'm glad to know there are no size restrictions. I'll have to round up some more Qs and get a few for purse, van, etc. I tried for the 3 oz at Walmart yesterday, but both stores I checked were out. No luck on the $5 Entertainment Book, so I'll just wait for a good deal online.

  5. tried to use the b1g1 mc coupon for the right guard body wash. clerk wouldn't let me because as he said "then you would be getting both for free." I told him that was the idea. he said i could buy four and get two free. I didn't bother.

  6. I had the 20 ct. Exedrin PM scanned twice, the first one was sale price, the 2nd rang up as 1/2 off. They only had 3 in stock, and I needed 4 for my deal. I am checking 2 other Walgreens tomorrow that are my route of other errands.

  7. I got my Right Guard (x3) for free at my Wags (Florissant on Dunn Rd. at Wash/Eliz and 270 and Florissant at New Halls & Lind). Also the one on Dunn had more of the Entertainment books.

  8. Hi All - For everyone not allowed to use their B1G1 coupons on a B1G1 sale at Walgreens, email Walgreens Customer Service http://www.walgreens.com/topic/marketing/contactus/contactus_customerservice.jsp

Stores should be accepting this coupon.

  9. staci, if you have a child at a school that sold entertainment books, or know someone that does, ask who the sale coordinator was. at this point they are likely to let any that they have left go for a small donation to their organization.

  10. Hi pixie_bit!

Thanks for the info. I homeschool and I don't know of any kids whose school sold them, but if anyone else does, let me know!

I can get one through shop@home for less than $10 after rebate, so I may go that route.

    Thanks again!

  12. The Sinful nail polish coupon for $1 off works like other wags coupons - you only need 1 coupon even if you are buying multiple nail polishes, yay! :)
