  1. Hi Jeri -

Do you know if the Redbox deal stacks? (i.e., if I get two bags of chips and four Pepsi products, will I get two free Redbox rentals?)

    Thanks!
    AK

  2. Hi Ak - I don't know and I don't think anyone will know until someone test it.

  3. I think the Olay will only be 1 dollar each instead of 2.

  4. Thanks for being my proof reader today, Lynda!

Someday I'll get these posted with out a typo or brain warp. :)

  5. Can you please help a newbie? Please explain how I will get two Right Guard Antiperspirant/Deodorant free. I have the coupon. I just can't wrap my mind around the math. Thanks! Kim J.

  6. Hi Kim J - Good question. It is a hard concept to wrap your brain around becasue it goes against all the things our parents taught us - If it's too good to be true, it is.

Using a B1G1 copuon on a B1G1 sale is standard coupon practice, and here is the logic behind it.

On a B1G1 sale, you are paying for one and the STORE gives you the second.

On a B1G1 copuon you are paying for one and the MANUFACTURER is paying for the one.

You buy something on a B1G1 sale. You are purchasing (2) itmes, but only paying for one. Use the B1G1 manf. coupon to pay for your one, because you are purchasing two items.

The store will get reinbursed from the manf. for one, no different than if you paid for one.

The only snafu is, if by chance Walgreens has programed the computer to ring up each items on a B1G1 sale at half price. The clerk has to enter the price of the free product on a B1G1 coupon in the register. In this scenario they will probably ring up 1/2 price for the B1G1 coupon.

I hope that makes sense. And I hope others answer your quesiton too. Have several people expalin someting to me, each in their won words, always helps me.

  7. The past few times I've done a BOGO sale at Walgreens the register rings up both items at the full or sale price and then takes off the price of the 2nd one when the order is totalled. I've not had any trouble using a BOGO coupon in those instances because both prices display and the cashier just takes off the price of one. Hope thats the way it will work next week!

  8. The Olay Collections are 3/$12 minus the 3RR so $2 each is correct. I read the ad that way?

  9. I had an email from Herbal Essence that that there will be a BOGO coupon in this week-ends paper...!!!!! :) Tami

  10. I had three register rewards which totaled $10 and I wanted to buy ONE item that totaled $10+... the cashier told me that since I was only buying ONE item I could only use ONE of the register rewards. Does anyone know if that was right?? It didn't sound right to me.

  11. you have to buy an item per coupon u use

  12. Hi All

I once again fixed the Olay match-up. This time It's correct. I don't know why I sometimes make things go from bad to worse. :(

Anonymous trying to use (3) RR - The cashier was correct in you situation. From Walgreens coupon policy:

"The number of manufacturer coupons, including Register Rewards manufacturer coupons, may not exceed the number of items in the transaction."

If you want to purchase (1) item and want to use multiple RR to pay for it, you need to find a few "filler" items to buy also - a small piece of candy, one of the inexpensive items in that week's ad with a walgreens coupon (walgreens coupons don't count because they aren't Manf. coupons.)

  13. Jeri- Thank you for explaining. My husband goes through that stuff so fast! It's sort of sad that I am excited about the sale :) Kim

  15. I have never been allowed to stack a B1G1 sale with a B1G1 coupon at my Walgreens :(

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hi Jana - I hope all goes well for you at Walgreens. Being a newbie, make sure you ask questions and you might have to try several Walgreens before you find a coupon friendly location.

Hi Anonymous - I sure hate to hear you aren't allowed to use B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 sale. I don't get why store don't understand it's acceptable coupon usuage.

The week customers are paying for one on the B1G1 sale. Why are you not allowed to use the coupon to pay for the one? If it was on sale for $1 you would be able to use a $1 coupon.

  17. I have a question regarding the Excederin. I still have 3 "FREE" coupons that I received in the mail. If I use these and actually purchase 1 Excederin, will I get the $10 RR?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Anonymous - Register Rewards are trigger by the number or total spent and rang up at the register. Using coupons dose not affect the triggering of the RR.

Yes, use your coupons for free products, and as long as the price of the Excedrins run up are more than $20 you'll get your RR. I bet you're glad you hadn't used those coupons yet.
