The $5 meat sale is a new one for Dierbergs, so I'm not sure how it will ring up. But when they've had their other sales (5 for $22.50), I use that week to qualify for the Heineken rebates that are out there. For example, I buy 5 packages of meat that ring up for $40+. The discount to bring it down to $22.50 shows up later on the receipt. Essentially I qualify for spending $40 even though I only spent $22.50. Right now there's a $15 Heineken rebate out for spending $25. So you may be able to buy 3 packs of meat ringing up at over $25, but only pay $15 and get $15 back. Hope that makes sense!
ReplyDeleteHi Denise - I think the meat/seafood sale will continue to ring up full price with the disocunt shown later in the reciept. The ad is stated the way it always was (have to buy # before you get the discount), even thought the purchase requirement and price has changed.

Is the Heineken rebate form available online? There's a few winetags to make the most of the meat sale I found at Deirbergs this weekend:

The Heineken rebate states premium meats must be purchased. Which of the meat being offered would be considered premium? Does it matter what kind of meat is purchased? Just curious..

ReplyDeleteLast time I had a rebate that asked for premium meat I emailed for clarification and this is the response I got:
"We would consider premium meats to be almost any meat of beef, ribs, pork, steak, and/or chicken. I would not consider deli meat to be premium meat though."
I would highly recommend emailing yourself and keeping a record of the response as well as all the materials you submit.

There is also a Corona $10/$10 beer rebate available on any poultry, beef or seafood purchase. I found it at SNS last week.
