Has anyone tried to use the Sappington Farmers' Market money off your purchase coupons at the Fenton store? Do the employees know what to do with the coupon? I am thinking about having my husband do the shopping on Thursday, but I don't want to send him if it's not going to be an easy trip. He doesn't mind using coupons as long as the transaction goes smoothly.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I'm new to couponing and trying to save as much as possible. So question: Does the $5.00 come off the Unilever products of $15 or more instantly? Or does it do it at the end? I'm trying to figure out if my unilever purchases of $15 will count towards my $50 total or should I plan on it just being a $10 purchase?? Sorry if this seems confusing!
ReplyDeleteI would call the Shop n Save store to check first before you go. I was planning to go to the Crestwood store a few weeks back and the gal on the phone told me they do not match the Sappington Farmers Market 10 off every time the Market does it.
ReplyDeleteannonymous
ReplyDeleteWhoever you talked to at Crestwood gave you the wrong info I shop there just about every week always with that coupon when it is not $10 off Thur. I have never had a problem.
The Unilever Savings come off instantly! Yay! Thanks Jeri...just picked up my 10 jars of Ragu. My husband is thrilled. lol
ReplyDeleteMegan-
ReplyDeleteI use the Sappington coupon at the sns store in Fenton often- never have had a problem! HTH!
Thank you Michelle B!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like my husband will be going to SNS on Thursday!
Yay! Got 9 jars of Ragu and jar of peanut butter for $6.83 (minus $6 RR from Wags means. $83 pop!). Also picked up the Extra gum on a separate order for the free rebate...we were going to be getting gum anyway this week.
ReplyDeleteLots of peeloff pad coupons and winetags out in the Edwardsville store today. EVE
Hi All -
ReplyDeleteMegan - I know what you mean - not wanting to send hubby coupon shopping unless it goes smoothly. I hope he doesn't get the one cashier that is clueless - mine would.
Instant Saving and $50 purchase requriement. Since you are going to be using the SFM match for the $10 off $50, the instant savings will affect your total to get the $10 off. But, if this was a week that every SNS offered $10 off $50 it wouldn't. Sorry if this seems confusing.
Maybe someone who shops at Crestwood and uses SFM coupon could explain this better.
Does anyone know if ShopnSave sells Target gift cards?
ReplyDeleteIDK about the Target gift cards. However, the $20.00 grocery coupon wyb $100 in gc's is only good on the gift cards pictured on the ad according to Kirkwood SNS manager.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous #1 - I've never seen Target gift cards at SNS.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous #2- I had no problems getting the $20 grocery coupon yesterday at the Maplewood SNS by buying Applebees, Red Lobster and McDonalds gift cards. So either the Kirkwood manager is misinformed or it's working differently at that location.
Can you buy more giftcards with the catalina? I suppose it is just a regular catalina? If so, if you use the Entertainment coupons you would get $200 giftcards for $170 = 15% savings which I think is better than the giftcard buying sites. I think.
ReplyDeleteHi all
ReplyDeleteUnless there is a correction posted by the ad stand, I'm reading the copy in the ad as the Gift Card deals is good on any Gift Card except the ones listed as excluded. The fine print says, "Selection varies by store."
Until someone gives it a try, you can never be certain, but I've never seen a Catalina at the grocery store you couldn't roll.
I don't think you could roll this one because gift cards are usually one of the things excluded on catalinas, unless this one is different. Maybe someone who has already gotten the coupon could check the exclusions on it.
ReplyDeleteHi JB - Good point, thanks! Everyone had better look at their Catalina coupon and check the exclusion.
ReplyDeleteI had an awesome SNS trip yesterday! Without much planning I used my $20 gift card catalina and $5.40 in coupons and ended up with a total of minus 1 cent!!! But the register wouldn't allow a negative balance so I added a candy bar for a final total of 81 cents. Here are the details and a photo

If I spent $30 on the required Unilever products would I get the instant $5 off to show up twice on my receipt.
ReplyDeleteThank You,
Will
Will,
ReplyDeleteThe Unilever deal does not stack. The most that will be deducted is $5. If you want to buy $30 worth of items, it would be best to separate it into 2 transactions.
Can I use a shopnsave gift card to buy gift cards?
ReplyDeleteYou can not use a SNS gift card to purchase other gift cards. I asked at the Fenton Customer Service last night.
ReplyDeleteHi All
ReplyDeleteCJ - Great shopping! Thanks for sharing your pic.
Thanks, KC and Megan for answering questions.
I've used SNS gift cards to purchase other gift cards many times with no problems and have never had a SNS employee tell me I couldn't. You buy a SNS GC with cash or other forms of your own funds, so there's no reason you shouldn't be able to use it to purchase anything in the store.
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ. I might have to try to purchase another gc with a SNS gc at another location.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the Unilever instant discount is only on the items shown in the ad, or will other Unilever products trigger it as well?
ReplyDeleteanyone know where I could get some extra ragu coupons? thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo, they do sell ebay gift cards (i just called a st. charles location)- you could purchase $100 in ebay gift cards then purchase a gift card off ebay for say visa and save money on gas or something else. I am going to check out what it says on the ebay gift card and see if I can purchase other gift cards with it.
ReplyDeleteHere is from the ebay website:
What can be purchased with eBay Gift Cards?
Almost anything listed on eBay can be purchased with your eBay Gift Card. The only requirement is that the listing must include PayPal as an accepted payment method, because you'll need to log into PayPal on checkout to redeem your gift card or certificate.
Good luck!
I am going to purchase ebay gift cards then purchase walmart gift cards then buy my gas at sams club with my sams card. woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteHi Jess,
ReplyDeleteIf you have a BP station near you--SNS has BP gas cards to use for this deal. Had a friend buy $1200.00 in BP gas cards to use and get the $240.00 in Cats back for Free Groceries. =)
Just an idea.
Jeri - Wow, your friend did great! I was worried I'd have trouble just using up one $20 cat before it expired so I only did the deal once so far. SNS also sells Southwest Airlines gift cards so this may be a good deal to save a little money on flights.
ReplyDeleteHi CJ,
ReplyDeleteIf you are referring to me "Janet" not Jeri-I have to agree my friend did great with the gas cards all on his own. =) I posted next weeks ad info at the Shop and discussed with Rhonda my GCs purchases so far. I have been and still will be Rockin' this GC deal to the max.
Hope Everyone has a great day. =)
The SNS on K and Mexico had signs up on Wednesday that the cat was only produced on the gift cards shown in the ad. Is it just that location that has those signs up? I really wanted gift cards for other stores but I'm too afraid to try it since the gift cards are not returnable. Has the cat worked at any of the st charles area stores on Thursday or Friday when purchasing gift cards for stores other than the ones listed in the ad?
ReplyDeleteHi All - Great ideas of how to use the gift card promotion.
ReplyDeleteJamie R - How interesting. I know CJ purchased other cards ealier in the week and got her Catalina. Now, I'm a little concerned they have changed this promotion and I just posted ideas about what type of gift cards to buy. Has anyone purchased gift cards since Wed? And what was your expierence?
Hi All,
ReplyDeleteHi Jeri-on 6/8 I did 2 trans with $100 ea in JC Pennys GCs and rec'd both $20 Cats back. I am making a list and might pick up more Lowes cards while I am at it today. Basically the Promo includes All GCs except those that are Excluded in the Ad. I have done: Applebees, Pennys, McDs, Lowes, Sears and Pizza Hut so far.
Hope that helps. =)
I bought $100 in bp gas cards yesterday and the catalina printed.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janet & Nicole! After the Energizer Catalina sanfu a few week's ago, you never know with SNS.
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteJust cking in from todays trip. I did 3 trans of Pennys cards today and the Cat printed ea. time. Also rolled other $20/$10 cats onto the Energizer deal doing batteries, Solo plates and more Ragu/Country Crock. Used one $20 and bought a very nice looking chuck roast for Sunday @$10.26 and 6 dozen eggs @$1.54 ea oh and a Reese peanut butter something to get over $20 total was $.28 after $20 Cat. Gotta love getting free roast and eggs for buying gift cards for house projects. =)
BTW, when I was at CS getting my SNS card on Thursday I looked at the stacks of coupons they had at the counter. They were mostly for soda type things but there was a MIR for Wishbone salad dressing. $1 off beef, poultry or produce. Sweetens the deal a little if you got the wishbone.
ReplyDeleteHi Marcella - Makes me think everyone should stop at Customer Service to see what types of coupons they are hiding there.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning to All,
