CVS $5 Scenario - Week of 8/07/11

If your store is busy, the polite thing to do is to pay for a  couple transactions and step aside to let the customers behind you check out.  This not only keeps the other customers happy, but puts less stress on the cashier.

Take a look more of this week's CVS deals

  3. I am new to couponing (have only been doing it since March) so I have a question for the wonderful experts: The Dollar General has some fairly nice items on their clearance shelves; all are BOGO until Aug 15th if some would like to check it out. I picked up 2 AirWick Ultra Freshmatics Deluxe Edition (the tall, wall attachers. They were marked down to $12 ea, with BOGO I got 2 for $12 and used 1 coupon making it $8 for 2. Is this a good deal? The cashier said I could only use 1 coupon so I asked the mgr as you always say, and was told that I could only use 1 as I was only 'buying' 1. Is this correct? This is the only Airwick deal I could find this week and I have to send the items off to my brother in Iraw tomorrow so didn't have the luxury of waiting for a better deal. Usually I wait for the CVS; Walgreen deals. Thanks~!

  4. Hi Debra D - It has been acceptable coupon policy to use (2) coupons on a B1G1 deal. But recently we are starting to see some stores change their coupon policy and not allow (2) coupons on a B1G1 deal.

I took a quick look at DG coupon policy & don't see any mention of B1G1, so without it in the written policy, it's probably up to the manager.

I would have asked the manager, if he accepted both coupons would he get reinbursed for both from the manufacturer.

Stores can be audited for coupons submitted for reinbursement. They have to prove they sold at least as many products as they submitted coupons for. For B1G1 deals they sold 2 products. He would get reinbursed for 2 coupons. But, managers still have a hard time logically thinking through B1G1 deals and coupons.
