It's not unusual for Walgreens not to get their register coded correctly for their store coupons. The coupon just says Alka-Setlzer with no restrictions.
I wonder if they will leave the coding in the register this way or not?
Softsoap on sale for .99 with walgreens coupons than use $.40 coupon from this Sunday paper makes it $.59.

ReplyDeleteHi Frugal & Coupon Crazy - The Softsoap coupons are usually for 8 oz. or larger. They don't work on those smaller 7.5 oz. bottles put on sale for around $1.
Thanks for the Dawn info. I wish Walgreens carried Hand Renewal Dawn, so we could use the better coupon.
Yesterday I purchased the Tylenol/Sudafed products for the $5 RR and the RR did not print, the cashier sent me over to the other register where another woman who had the same problem was waiting for the store manager to call the GM and after a 15 minute wait we were given forms to mail in with our receipts to get the $5. So it will take 6-8 weeks to get my RR and I'm out .42 cnts for a stamp. I have never had this problem at WG before. I would have returned my products and just came back when the problem was fixed but I was afraid they would be out as it was the 2nd WG I had gone to and my son and I needed the products for our colds.

Whenever a RR hasn't printed, the stores I shop have always made it right in-store. Either they have forced the RR somehow or issued me a Walgreens gift card for the amount.
Thanks Jeri. I went back to the same WG the next day to do the Triaminic deal and asked first. The RR were still not printing. It was the only WG in my area that still had Triaminic left so I asked if they would hold 2 for me until today and I will call first to see if RR are rolling again.
ReplyDeleteThis is not my usual WG so I'm thinking this manager did not know how to handle it other than giving the mail in form.
Oh and be careful ladies when buying Medicine, I found one box of Triaminic Fever reducer left at the Gravois Bluffs WG and the expiration date on the bottom was 5-2012. I don't want medicine that's going to expire in 4 months.
