At my dierbergs.....they suspended the bonus doubling of this coupon because they said they will not let a printable coupon double if it makes it over 50% off that item :(.....they also refused other of my printables. They said that they do not mark them down to the 50% off....they just do not accept them at all if they are for more than 50% of the item.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I'm buying from Dierbergs from now on is when they have something on their 10/10 sale that I really want that I don't have coupons for anyways.
All my regular grocery shopping will happen at a more coupon friendly store like SNS or SCHNUCKS.
What stores do not realize is that couponers still spend money on regular priced groceries too, so if you treat us like you don't want us in your store, then guess what?......
Did you talk to a manager or was this a cashiers decision?
DeleteIt was the cashier....but he pointed to the policy that was on the little platform you can write your check on.....and it said "Printed coupons that are for more than 50% of the item's price WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED".
ReplyDeleteI had never seen it worded that way before. I did not get a manager because I was trying to get in and out before work.
I guess I don't understand. He also wouldn't let me use more than 3 like coupons in the same transaction.
Maybe I need to be re-schooled on their coupon policy at dierbergs....maybe they are having changes? I have never had these issues before.

Concerning printables: "Internet manufacturer coupons that exceed 50% of the regular retail value of the item will not be accepted." Regular retail value means regular price before the sale.
3 like coupons: The only place it mentions like coupon is under Double Coupons. So, if they aren't doubling a coupon they should take more than three.
I make it a point to get to know the employees at Customer Service and the managers at the stores I shop. I've had a situation where I wanted to use (4) coupons that were under $0.40 for a Catalina deal, so I stopped at Customer Service before I shopped and asked them if they would accept four and they were glad to accommodate me.
I have no problem asking a difficult cashier to call the Customer Service desk and ask them to clarify their interpretation of the coupon policy.
As long as customers are using legitimate coupons, managers want the couponers business.
I have no problem using 5 cpn that are alike at my store. Is it stated somewhere else that they don't?
ReplyDeleteCheck out Dierbergs coupon policy. It states under Double Coupons - limit 3 like coupons.
DeleteI've seens stores/cashiers enforce this policy and others not.
