DeleteDoes anyone know if the 25% off coupons count towards ecb deals. For example. I'm wanting to do the John Freida buy $20 get $10 ECB. If I buy $20 worth and use the coupon will I get my ECB, or do I need to bump it up to about $27 be $20 after the coupon is deducted?
ReplyDeleteYou do not have to bump it up to $27. The amount before the % will count toward the ECB.
DeleteI wonder if you can use & get percent off coupons on ECB deal items?!?! I think they're one of the exclusions.
DeleteI think it used to be where percents didn't work on ECB items, but lately my experience has been they work on any item that is not on sale (except the excluded items like alcohol, tobacco, etc.), it doesn't matter if it has an ECB or not.

DeleteIf the ECB item is not on sale and no price is listed in the ad, you will get the percent. Since the CoverGirl Mascara is listed as $8 this week, you would not get the % even if the shelf price at your CVS store is $8. Next week since the Revlon states off $10 purchase and nothing is listed as a sale price, you would get the percent.
Something else you might like to know is that the coupons from the red machine reduce the amount eligible for the %. Let's say you buy $10 worth of Revlon next week and have one of the CVS red machine coupons for $2, your % would come off $8. If instead you had a $2 newspaper insert coupon for Revlon, the % would come off the original $10. Once and a while red machine coupons behave as manufacturer coupons. This is why it is hard to always figure final totals to the penny.
Something else nice to know is that you can stack % coupons. This week I got a 20% because of a prescription I filled recently. I also received a 25% emailed to me. I sent that to my card. (My favorite cashier says that is important to make this work.) I will use both for a 40% savings. Once I use the 20%, then it is 25% off the remaining 80%.
Hope this makes sense. It is why CVS is a great place to shop. My store has great cashiers (and one crabby one.)
