FYI to all who shop at Twin Oaks SNS. On Monday I went there and they had signs that you get a $5 off OYNO when you spend $75 in a single transaction. The sign was right by the door where they keep the sale bills. I emailed Jeri about it and she checked at her stores and didn't see the signs, and the store didn't know about the promotion, so it may be only at that specific store. I am kicking myself for not writing the end date down, but I believe it at least goes through Thursday, because that's when I shop, and I remember trying to figure out if it was better to do the $75 dollar transaction on Thursday and get the $10 instant savings + $5 OYNO, or whether I should do two separate $50 transactions, and save $20 after two instant $10. I guess it just depends on how much groceries I need. It's kind of a down week at SNS, so I might try the $75 promo.
ReplyDeleteI called customer service about a couple issues. Here is what Valerie told me.
ReplyDeleteOne can use more than a single Tombstone in-ad MQ. Thursday cost should be actually, if one keeps around $50 and not much more.
B4 $10 - 2 = $8 - $2.50 = $5.50/4
Only two GC, Sears and Foot Locker, are available locally to purchase. This is inregard to B$100 of partipating GC and receive a $10 cat.
My mother-in-law got an advertisement that printed out at the South County store and it says good until friday valid at participating stores excluding the usual stuff.
ReplyDeleteThanks,everyone!
ReplyDeleteFor those of you doing the Tombstone Pizza Deal, there is a tearpad on the freezer doors at Schnucks for Free 2L Mtn Dew WYB Doritos and Tombstone Pizza. THEN, if you go to the customer service desk at Schnucks you can get a coupon for Buy any 3 Pepsi 12 pk and get a bag of doritos free.
ReplyDeleteSo, if you feel like buying 9 12-pks of Pepsi you can get those for whatever they cost, plus 4 tombstone pizzas 2.50 each - 2.50 (for the free one in the ad) + 3 free Mtn Dew 2 Liters, + 3 free Doritos. Pretty good deal if you like those products. Then submit it for a rebate--there are lots of soda/salty snack rebates out there!!!
Edit to my above post: the customer service desk at SHOP N SAVE has the pepsi/doritos coupon
ReplyDeleteThere is a cat at SNS for buy 4 idahoan potatoes, get $1 OYNO runs through 7/10. They were on sale there (unadvertised) for $1 each. There was an internet coupon floating around a couple weeks ago for .75 off 3. Pretty good deal!!
ReplyDeleteAnd one other thing....if you go to SNS before you go to schnucks, there are peelies on the betty crocker potatoes for $1/2. The betty crocker potatoes are on sale at schnucks this week for $1 each, so it's a pretty good deal if you feel comfortable taking the peelies off at SNS :) FYI, I did not see peelies on the betty crocker potatoes at the schnucks store I shopped at today, but I saw .55/2 peelies on them at a different schnucks store a couple days ago.
ReplyDeleteOn more thing...I keep forgetting to add these things: certain brand of SNS pasta on sale for .69--which is a good deal for me.
ReplyDeleteUnadvertised deal- Pepsi brand 24 pks for 3.98. (i think you have to make an additional $10 purchase)
So on the pepsi/doritos/mtn dew/tombstone deal, it would work out like this:
ReplyDelete9 - 12pks of pepsi cans @3/11= $33
4 Tombstone Pizzas @2.50=$10
3 Bags of Doritos @ $3= $9
3 2L of Mtn Dew @1.48=4.44
Total: $56.44
If you go today take off $10
$46.44
-$2.50 in ad coupon tombstone
-4.44 Mtn Dew
-9 Doritos
=30.50
Not too shabby considering the pepsis alone would have cost you $33
Why does the register take off the $10 BEFORE you get to the $50 total? Does it take it off with tax included? It always seems to deduct the $10 when I still have a few items left but it makes me nervous to stop it right then. Because then what if it won't take the Entertainment Book coupon or my other coupons etc b/c its not quite $50? Anyone ever tried to estimate tax and stop then? I asked the checker and she said that its supposed to be before tax but it looks like it takes it off after taxes. Anyone have any insight to that process?
ReplyDeleteHi couponmama - Thanks for all the additional info. I too saw a sign on SNS door last night about the pasta and pepsi prices. But, it was the second store I was at trying to find Breyers and I was very unhappy with the first SNS. I was going to check out the info on my way out of the store, but my expiernece at the second store was worse than the first. I forgot all about it.
ReplyDeleteHi Marcella - I don't think I've ever had the register take off $10 before I reached $50. For me the screen show about $53 before it comes off. The extra $3 is the sales tax.
ReplyDeleteI always keep a running total of what my purchase will be and the only time I've had a problem is when something rang up for less that the shelf price. I just added a pack of gum to get to $50.
I had a running total and it was $50.75. Every week it seems to take off the $10 before the last few items are scanned. It must only be the Crestwood SNS b/c I've never shopped at another store. Weird.
ReplyDeleteHi Marcella - That is stange. I hope others chime in here on what happens at the SNS they shop at.
ReplyDeleteHi, Marcella. Did you check if the price of the items on your receipt are correct? I mean do they tally with the price you think you are getting them for? Your experience happened to me before. The register took off the $10 off when I still got 2 items left unscanned by the cashier. When I checked my receipt some items did not ring up right. I ended up going to the Customer Service to get refund for the price difference. They're always accommodating. I guess, they have to make up for their mistakes with their items not ringing up right at the register.
ReplyDeleteAnd this happened to me yesterday: on my receipt 2 items rang up .24 cents more than the shelf tag price. I always remember to check my receipt when I'm still at the store but the line was long and ice cream and other frozen stuff were melting and we just wanted to get out of the store right away. I hope on sale tag price is still on the shelf when I go back there so I can get my money back. It's gonna be less than a $1 refund but it usually adds up.
I hope am able to help you on this.
Hi coupon.girl - I don't know why I didn't think of this problem for Marcella. I was probably taking too much time at Customer Service when you thought the line was too long. I let my ice cream melt for $6.
