This week Walgreens has the 10 ct. Breathe Right strips on sale for $5 if you buy at least two. There is a $2 off Walgreens Instant Value Coupon in the November Savings Book. There is a $2 manufacturer's coupon in the Cold & Flu booklet. (These are about 5x7 in. and are found in many stores in the cold & flu aisle.) That makes the strips $1 after both coupons. It is best to have them scan the November Savings coupon first.
ReplyDeleteThanks, KC!
DeleteI shopped yesterday at my walkable Wags to roll some RRs. Bought the Zims Pain Relief and (3) stickers as fillers. I knew I had enough items/total that was more than the value of all my man. coupons/RRs/store in-ad Qs. On my estimate after Qs/RRs are deducted, my OOP will be like 20cents. Cashiers rang up all items. Zims Q didn't scan so she entered it manually and after that, in-ad Q for stickers and (2) RRs won't go through anymore. She entered the (2) RRs manually but won't do it on the in-ad Q for stickers. She told me that if she does it, Wags will owe me money. Sigh. I stood my ground which I really hate to do and ask her to void the transaction which involved a manager. Sigh again. I then asked her very nicely if we can re-ring everything which she did reluctantly still saying that her store can't owe me money. I just pushed my luck. I "make" ;) her scan the Zims and asked her to scan the man. coupon for it afterwards. Q still won't go through then bless her heart she remembered to cover the right bar code on the Q and it went through. Next, I handed her the (3) stickers to scan then let her scan the in-ad Q for them which went through. Then, I finally gave her the $1 and $7 RRs and they also scan through making my OOP after tax 16 cents. Made me happy and thanked cashier who was not too pleased. Sigh more. I got back the $8 RRs from Zims AND a $10 off $35 store coupon that printed out also from the Catalina machine which was a "good" surprise "at that time" even if it expires the following day.
ReplyDeleteI said at that time because $10 off $35 Cat. store coupon did not say anything about being redeemed AFTER manufacturer/RR/any rewards points/store/any coupons but the "Wags" couponer in me had to make sure before I walk there again to use the coupon today so I called just now and asked the manager about it. He told me that said coupon has to be redeemed AFTER any other coupons/points so my total before tax has to be $35. Bummer! Glad I called first.
Any other got this $10 off $35 store Q, and what was your experience when you use it??? Please do share. I don't like to waste this Q but I think I will just have to because of what manager told me at my walkable Wags. Sigh, I already have a list of what I "need" to buy to make use of this Q. Oh well...and sorry All for the long narration... :I
*used it??? :)
DeleteLast weekend I did NUMEROUS $10/$35 transactions. NEVER NEVER NEVER was my total $35 after coupons and the coupon ALWAYS worked. I gave all Walgreens coupons and in ad instant value coupons first (to make sure my total was still over $35), then the $10/$35, next manufacturer coupons, and finally RRs. I do like to check out in beauty or photo, so I don't feel pressured with anxious customers behind me.
DeleteI very unwisely listened to an assistant manager's advice last Saturday night, and it cost me a lot of money! I know better! One of the first rules of couponing is: "Experienced couponers on these sites know more than most managers."
Thanks, KC! I now feel that $10/$35 won't be worth walking there to see if I can use it or not BEFORE man. Qs & RRs. Am feeling pessimistic. :( Trying to save dealing with Wags employees & managers can be really exhausting "sometimes". ;)
DeleteHi coupon.girl - Some store are better to deal with than others. It shouldn't be that way, but it is.
DeleteThe Mars Snickers Nutcrackers and Milky Way Christmas candy are on sale for 2/$1.00. They're was a coupon in the paper a few weeks ago for save $1.00 on any two Mars candies. Making then FREE!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi - I don't think the coupon is going to work if you are talking about the Mars coupon in the 11/11/12 RP - size restrictions are 7.94 -19.5 oz.
DeleteThose size restrictions are buried after the list of Mars products.
Oh Gosh, I didn't even notice that! It's usually next to the savings. Good Catch!!
ReplyDeleteYes, they hid those restrictions. If I remember correctly they were hidden on last years coupon too.
