Readers Question - Where locally can I donate my unused coupons?

Readers Question - April 2013

Julie contacted me with a question I couldn't answer.
Hello,

I was wondering if there is a place I could donate the coupon packets I get in the weekend Post Dispatch.  After I cut out the coupons I use I always have tons left over and I just hate throwing them away.

Is there somewhere in St Louis that I could take them?

I sent Julie info on the Coupons for Military Families Overseas Operation, but is there some way she could help out local families?

Try to find a couponer who donates heavily to food banks and charity....the more they have the more they can give. I try to give when I can, but my extended family usually siphons off my excess. lol

  2. Woodlawn Chapel Presbyterian Church has a Coupon Club that purchases items for the local food pantries. You can contact them at 636-458-3009. They would love to have your coupons.

    1. What a great idea of a coupon club to purchase items for food pantries. Thanks for the info.

  3. Possibly we could ask about putting baskets at local libraries to drop them off for exchanging with each other, like a coupon train, but at a location. Whoever sets up each basket could cull them out once in a while.....
