  1. Thanks Jeri!
I really appreciate the work you put into these coupon match ups! I hope the prices don't change too much. The triple coupons came at the right time for me. I have to put together a huge snack basket for an event in a few weeks.

  2. Thank you Jeri! You are amazing! Week after week you take care of us couponers. I really appreciate ALL you do.I still think you should were a shirt saying "Coupon STL....Jeri here"! That way we could meet the special person behind the seen and give you a personal "THANK YOU" and pick up your grocery tab. If you shopping triples it shouldn't be over $5.00, right??? LOL

  7. I'm brand new to couponing, but can't wait to start! First I have a silly question though... Where can I find all of these coupons? In the Wednesday paper?

    1. Welcome to the World of Couponing!

Jeri does a GREAT job helping all of us!

If the coupon listed is a link, you will have to use it to print the coupon. Usually you can get two prints per computer from the link.

      SS means Smart Source.
      RP means Red Plum
      P&G means Proctor and Gamble.
The date tells you which weekend paper to check.

You will need a system. Everyone has their own. I save my inserts in notebooks with plastic sleeves. Each sleeve has a different insert; each labeled by date, type, and how many. Many of us buy extra papers when the inserts are good.

Couponing takes some work, but the rewards definitely make it worth it. This is a good week to jump in.

      Enjoy!

    2. Hi New Couponer - Welcome! Even if you don't have a stash of coupon inserts, you should be able to get some great deals with printables.

I'm like KC and don't clip coupons from the inserts until I'm going to use them. I file my in a file cabinet, but you could also use one the the milk crates like boxes to file.

  8. There are some quaker coupons that expire in a few days and Schnuck's has some of those items on sale. I got granola bars and Oat Squares cereal for .25 and quakes for free. Quaker cookies ended up being really cheap too. Not sure what insert they're from.

  9. Hi, I'm fairly new to couponing at Schnucks. Question, does Schnucks really impose the limitations? I have a lot of the same coupons....

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, if you use more than 15 coupons, they won't triple.

      Delete
    2. Can I do them on separate transactions then? And the limit on like coupon, the 4th coupon won't triple?

      Delete
    3. You could always ask the manager if they would allow more than one transaction. I would suggest sticking to the "rules."

You can shop everyday or even stop at a second store.

      Delete
    4. Ok, thanks! Last question. I have several tearpads. 55c off of 2 Snapple's. Would these coupons attach to the 6-pack?

      Delete
    5. Hard to tell. Is there any size restrictions on the coupon?

Some coupons are very vague for what products/sizes you can use them on. If there is no restrictions I take that to mean any.

I don't have a problem using a vague coupon, and if by chance it beeps (register won't automatically take it) and the cashier refuses to manually input it, I have no qualms about telling the cashier I don't want to purchase the product if I can't use the coupon.

Remember - It takes a thick skin and a strong backbone to coupon.

      Delete
    6. I just looked at my coupon and it says any 16oz Snapple Tea or Juice drink. It also says "Do Not Double". I hope cashier will still input it. Again, thank you so much! I will update! These tearpads are actually quite common. I found them in gas station convenience stores.

      Delete
    7. Just talked to someone from Schnucks over the phone and they said they will still triple it! Thanks again.

      Delete
    8. If the coupon states 16 oz., it sounds to me like it is for the individual bottles. I wouldn't use it on the 6 packs. Snapple 16 oz. are on sale for $1.00 - it would make them $0.18 each wyb 2 after your coupon.

      Delete
    9. the coupon is for single serve bottles...it is .55/2. So you can buy 6 individual bottles use three coupons which will triple and make it a 1.08 for a "6 pack"

  14. Just a note - the Pure Silk Shaving cream is ringing up $2.29 at two different stores I went to today even thought the tag says $1.99. Watch as they ring - I had to get an adjustment both times.

    1. Mine did the same thing, it rang up at 2.29. I bought 2 Pure silks, and one rang up at 1.99 and the other at 2.29, however I didn't notice until after I got home. My Keebler Cheez-It's didn't triple either, it only took of $0.70, the amount of the coupon. Again, didn't notice until I got home. I didn't have but 13 coupons, so it should've tripled it. Anyone know if it's too late to go back to the store and have them adjust the 0.70 coupon? I'm guessing it is, since you can't get cash back for coupons.

      Delete
    2. Yes, you can go back to the store today or tomorrow if more convenient and get your money back on the coupons not entered correctly. Not a concern at all. Watch out for Good Morenings cereal not tripling the $.70 either. Need to take off $2.10 manually. Some Quaker Popped Cakes not ringing up $1.25 but instead $1.79. Watch out for those too.//Blair

      GREAT shopping!!!!!

I have a story: I had to work today, and honestly, I don't stay up till midnight and I'm tired of getting up at 5am to coupon...so I did not go this morning. I get home and my hubby wants to go to schnucks to rent a movie and get something for dinner. I'm all.... "Whoo HOooooo! I can coupon tonight!!!!" So I get a cart and he gets a cart....so we can do 2 transactions (they are sticklers at my schnucks). I set him up with all the 15 coupons...hes in front of me checking out and I say...."pssst!...tell her you have 15 coupons!....so the casheir starts ringing and he holds his precious hands out with all the coupons towards the cashier and she looks at him and he says..."I have 15"...and she just paused and took them and started scanning. Hahahaha! LOL.. he was just too adorable for words. SOOooooo much fun. He spent $6 and saved $44....you should have seen his face watching that price go down!

      Happy couponing everyone :)

    1. Yes, I noticed that too. But I also noticed when all the coupons scan correctly, the tax is calculated correctly. When the coupons are entered manually, then the tax is wrong. I paid 33% tax on one trip this week. After coupon, it was $1.20, but tax was .40. It seemed too little to argue about it.

      Delete
    2. I've noticed the tax problem too. Since the CC problems, the tax is not being computed properly. A mistake in their programming or trying to recoup losses from the CC problems? Dierberg's hasn't changed and their tax is computed on the subtotal AFTER coupons.

      Delete
    3. Yes, tax isn't being calculated correctly. I too think it is happening when the cashiers have to manually enter coupons. If corporate doesn't seem too concerned about it, maybe some one should tell them they are going to contact the press.

I bought four of the pineapples using 2 coupons. With tax my total was $.21. I received a $.50 Catalina which I plan to use tomorrow, so that will also triple. My advice is NOT to use it on another order that includes Dole. It will attach to the Dole and interfere with other Dole coupons and tripling. Some cashiers may not triple it, but even if they don't you come out ahead.

  43. Has anyone had a problem with coupons not doubling/tripling when the coupons say Do Not Double? Late last night a cashier basically refused to double or even triple the coupon because it said DND on the back & only gave me face value. Any thoughts/advice is appreciated...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Courtney A, "DND" coupons should double/triple. If the register isn't programmed to take care of it automatically (and in most cases it should), cashiers are supposed to manually double or triple them. Dierbergs has clarified its own policy about this on its Facebook page but I'm not sure that Schnucks ever did likewise. If a cashier is confused about the policy and you don't want to cause a holdup at the register you should approach the customer service counter for a price adjustment.

      Delete
  44. Thanks Anon.
This occurred after the service counter had closed for the night. However,I still have my receipts & plan to take them back to the customer service counter for an adjustment. The coupon would not scan properly, so she read it (it said DND & she manually entered only the face value of the coupon).
