DeleteI have some questions for Jeri or any of the coupon experts here. There is a coupon on coupons.com for $1 of any one Kelloggs cereal but it says at the bottom of the coupon 'redeemable at Walmart'. I was going to use these coupons for the Special K promotion at Schnucks. Does 'redeemable at Walmart' mean the coupon can only be used at Walmart? Also for the buy 3 get 1 free Special K deal can I use four coupons or only three since one of the items is free? Thanks Jeri; wonderful site.

Unless you have a different ip address you can probably only print 2 of this coupon, if you can get more, you should be able to use it where ever you want it does not say Only at Walmart, you might have to get a manager. If you go to the walgreens website you can print their coupon policy. I am always armed with the store coupon policy, that I can pull out and show them. It usually comes with alot of eyerolling and annoyed customers, but ou gotta do what you gotta . Walgreen's policy does say that they cannot accept competitors coupons but this should not apply. You will probably have to explain to them that it does not say walmart only.
Deletesorry i thought you mentioned walgreens, schnucks is a little more complicated because thier policy is not to issue an official policy and they state they reserve the right to refuse any coupon, but it also says, that they do not accept competitors coupons except for certain MANUFACTURER'S COUPONS that are sometimes generated at the check-out of a competitor. These brand coupons must cleaarly state that they are a manufacturer's coupon and not a store coupon. It really depends on the checker at schnuck's. I always checker shop, some are rude some aren't I suggest you look for one that is young and smiling not an old grump. This applies to all stores though.

DeleteCoupon that say redeemable at Walmart - As long as a coupon say "Manufacturer coupon" across the top of it and it doesn't say "Redeemable ONLY at.... " it is good at any retailer. I haven't had any problems using his type of coupon
# of coupon you can use - At Schnucks you cannot use a coupon on the item you get free with a promotion (at some other stores you can.) So at most (3) Special K coupons.
I haven't been to Schnucks, so I'm not quite sure if the Special K deal is Instant Savings or a coupon - the ad only states, "see store for details." If it is a coupon, it could attach to only the Free item or it could attach to all four items. If it attaches to all four coupons, the register will "beep" when the cashier scans your coupons. The cashier could force them through or deny them.
Couponing is always an adventure. If a deal isn't what I think/want it to be, I have no problem telling the cashier that I've decided not to buy the product.
And, as the above commenter said, look for a cashier to checkout with that looks like they enjoy there job.

ReplyDeleteI got a printout at the register after buying Kool-Aid this morning saying there is a catalina deal for buying 15+ packets of Kool-Aid. $1 off your next order for buying 15-25, and $2 off your next order for buying 26+. That makes for a ton of free Kool-Aid after the catalina and 2 of the "Buy 10 get 3 free " coupons. Unfortunately, I only bought 13 this time :(
