Walgreens Deals and coupon match-up 6/14/09 - 6/20/09

It's a good week to shop at Walgreens, but if we had better coupons in the St Louis Post-Dispatch, it would be a great week. I've never purchased coupons from eBay or a coupon clipping service, but this week makes me think - maybe I should. I would love feedback from those who purchase coupons. Remember:

  1. Count the number of items you have and the number of coupons you are using. (A register reward is considered a coupon but an in-ad coupon isn't.) The register will not accept more coupons than items you're purchasing. Purchase fillers as needed.
  2. Always give the cashier your coupons in groups, first Register Rewards, then manufacturer's coupons, and then Walgreens' coupons.
  3. Only one Register Reward will print per offer per transaction. Split your items into several transaction if you want to earn Register Rewards on each of them. Example: This week if you want to buy more than one St Ives Body Wash and get Register Rewards for each of them, they have to be in separate transactions.
  4. If you use a Register Reward for the same brand of products, you will not receive another Register Reward. If you use a Register Reward for a different brand of product, you will receive a Register Reward.
  5. Ask for a rain check if the store is out of a sale item. They don't expire and you can use them at any Walgreens.
  6. You can use a Walgreens' coupon and a manufacturer's coupon on the same item. Read about Walgreens' Coupon policy.

  1. i say DEFINITELY consider buying them off ebay..... I have done it many times and have been pleased.. often get more than I think I originally would have. I 1st was buying the pre-clipped ones but have found on twitter that 1 person I follow will post when people list "lots" of the actual unclipped inserts... so that is how I buy them. I bought 5 inserts for todays paper yesterday for $5, cheaper than paying $1.50 each... and don't have the paper to discard of.. GO GREEN!!!! let me know if you have questions!

  2. Lori - Thanks for the info. I think I've not considered purchasing coupons because I can buy the Sunday paper for $1 at a dollar store. But now I'm starting to see how St Louis doesn't get some of the better coupons.

  4. coupon.girl - I haven't purchased Kerasal this month, but I've read that one will print a RR. If you purchase one & it doesn't print a RR, I would return it and buy 2. Sorry I don't have better answer for you.

  5. It's okay. I will just look for the "signage" and if I won't see any, I will just do your suggestion. Thanks a lot. :)

  7. I have bought coupons off ebay. I have purchased two mixed lot that were really cheap but all the good coupons were taken. I now purchase specific lots and have had great success. I just received my St. Ives to use this week and also got more J&J because I have three little ones and can always use baby powder, shampoo, buddy bars. Be cautious if it appears to good to be true b/c a lot of coupons are copies when they are higher value (free Pampers coupons).

  8. Thanks for the info. I didn't purchase any St Ives, but I'm thinking - when a deal like this comes along again I will purchase coupons. Your info is very helpful.

  9. Didn't find the Kerasal item on the 2 stores I went to. I asked someone who works there about it and we both looked at the skin care shelf even though she said that she's not familiar with it so she's not sure if they carry it in their store. Maybe Walgreens here in St. Louis don't sell it. Good thing I was really not so interested in buying one.

  10. coupon.girl - I saw Kerasal in the food product aisle. The area the Dr. Scholl's products are.

  11. Thanks a lot, Ms. Jeri! I found it but didn't buy any because I really don't need it. I was curious about it because its original price is so expensive and with a coupon and RR, it would be cheap. :)
