Schnucks Deals: 9/28/09 - 10/4/09

Schnucks and Shop 'n Save both have quite a few General Mills products in their ads this week. I'm going to shop at Schnucks for these items, because they are also included in a Catalina Deal.

Edit: I've added another internet printable coupon for Green Giant vegetables and I've found out that not only are the Green Giant vegetables included in the General Mill Catalina, but they are included in another $1 Catalina also. See details HERE.

Remember:
1. Schnucks doubles coupons .40 and less in the St. Louis area.
2. Limit of 15 coupons doubled.
3. Ask for a rain check if they are out of a sale item.
4. On a B1G1 sales you have to buy two to get the deal.
5. Items on a 10/$10 sale ring up $1 each. You don't have to buy 10.

I only highlight the best deals. Take a look at Schnucks full ad here.

  1. I went to Schnucks last night for some boxed frozen veggies and it printed not only the $3 cat but an extra $1 OYNO also from General Mills. It had to be the veggies that generated it because the only other thing I bought was a block of cheese. With 2 .50/2 coupons it's free after coupon and catalinas or with 5 of the .50/1 coupons(the link is in my name, since it won't let me paste it in the message), it could be a 1.50 money maker.

  2. Wow, you hit the jackpot. Thanks for sending the link. Did you buy 5 boxes of veggies?

  3. Yes indeed. I'll probably go again tonight for another 5 boxes. My stove/oven isn't working, so I am in dire need of some microwavable stuff. Salads are great, but 3 days in a row is my limit, I think.

  4. Thanks a bunch for passing on this information. I searched a bit on the web and found out other places in the country had the $1 Green Giant Cat going on and it was triggered when they purchased three boxes. I ran out to Schnucks and it triggered when I purchased three. I combined my veggies with a couple of crescent rolls.

  5. I'm going to buy 2 Cheerios and 3 Green Giants for a total of $8. After $1.10 Cheerios coupon, 2 .50 GG coupons, and the $3 and $1 catalinas my total should be $1.90. That's good enough for me! Thanks for the info on the catalinas!

  6. Jeri,

Do you know if the deals are valid until 10/6? That is what the signs said, but the new circular out today didn't mention anything about them.

Also, if it is, and anyone has double coupons(we have any denomination up to $1 here) -- you can print a ton of coupons for the chex mix on coupons.com, smart source, and it comes out free after the doubling and the catalina?

BTW, Jeri, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your site. Thanks for all you do. I hold out for your schnucks lists every tuesday even though my circular starts out earlier.

  7. Audrey - The General Mills Catalina is good through 10/06, but in the store I shop at the products are no longer on sale. It's common for Catalina deals to run longer that and sale dates.

I have to ask where you are at the Schnucks doubles up to $1. I'm jealous :) Do you know what the history is that Schnucks doubles to that amount? Did they move into the market that was already doubling up to $1 or are they matching another stores deal?

    Thanks for reading.

  8. It is competition Jeri. In a couple of places in MidMo they do that - simply because other stores double, so they have to in order to stay competitive. Hyvee is the only one who holds out on the doubling - but I think they can do that because they are the "higher" caliber store. I know people that will go several towns over just to get to a Hyvee. I like schnucks better b/c their prices are reasonable, much more so than Hyvee.

  9. Thanks for the additional info. Today while I was writing up my Schnucks post, I kept thinking I should include an "Audrey price:"
