Aldi Price Check - Pineapple, Vine Tomatoes, Apples + More

October 25, 2009

I found fresh pineapples at my Aldi for .79 each! They only had a few left. I think this price was to clear them out of the store. I stopped at a second Aldi to see if every store would have them at this price, but they were still $1.19 - still a fantastic price.

If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been a while:1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons

  1. I just got my Aldi ad in the mail and it shows butter quarters for $1.39. Yay! Just in time for baking season.

  2. Staci - Woo Hoo! Is the ad in effect now?

  3. All it says is that "special buys" are available beginning Thursday, but the butter is not a "special buy." I have found the other prices in the ad to start at the beginning of the week. It does have a disclaimer that says prices may vary by store, so I guess I'll have to see when I go in. I sure hope the $1.39 is available at my store. We go through a lot of butter!

  4. I hope the butter price is at every store. Our family goes through a lot of butter also. I can't bring myself to buy margarine, even if it's only a fraction of butter's price.
