Shop 'n Save Deals: 10/26/09 - 10/31/09

NO $10 off $50 purchase on Thursday

No Catalina deal this week either. It has been a long time since I've seen a week this deal free at Shop 'n Save. Although, a few items are at a fantastic price even without using coupons - Prairie Farms OJ for $1.18 and store brand cheese for $1. At least, I have somethings to spend my $10 Catalina coupon on before it expires.

I only highlight the best deals. Take a look at Shop 'n Save's full ads here.

Remember:
1. NO $10 off $50 purchase this Thursday.
2. Shop 'n Save does not double coupons.
3. Shop 'n Save accepts internet printable coupons up to 50% of the product retail price. Take a look at Shop 'n Save Internet Printable Coupon Acceptance Policy.

  1. can anyone confirm that the printable cottage cheese coupon works on the 24oz tubs? It says "16 oz" on the coupon. Thanks.

  2. Jen - I haven't used the coupon myself, but most of the time the coupon restrictions are for minimum size. If you want to use this coupon and are unsure, stop and ask at the Customer Service desk before you shop. Keep us posted what you find out.

  3. From the web site, PF coupons seem to have the second set of UPC code. The orginal UPC, which is still on most MQ, provided info on coupon amount and quantity, the primary company and finally, whether that MQ could be doubled. Lets say there was room to misuse those coupons, especially at the U-Scan. Now the second set, two rows with a line of tiny dots and lines, seem to be more size specific. I've tried using a couple and the register caught it.

Of course some cashiers will override the system and not act like the money is coming out of their pockets.

  4. kas - Am I reading this correctly? The coupon for 16 oz. Prairie Farms cottage cheese dosen't work on the larger size?

  5. Jeri- One can try and hope for the best. Now if the MQ states a certain size or larger, than I stand corrected. However, the new UPC allows better controls of MQ redemptions. It keeps someone like me from abusing Bayview and buying cheap jars of pickles. In time, even that was corrected.

One time I got some Dean Milk MQ in a trade with someone. Each time I used a coupon at CVS, the register wouldn't accept it. Yes, the staff honored the coupon, since I explained it came from the Chicago area.

  6. I meant Bay Valley, not Bayview.

  7. A heads-up to check your 2009 Entertainment Book for unused $5 off $50 SnS GC coupon(s). The coupon expires after 11/1/09

Lets just say, I took advantage of a 'major' catalina screw up that involve cereal earlier in the year and my extra books were free.

  8. Thanks, kas. My coupons are long gone and I would have never thought of it.

  9. I tried to use this Prairie Farms coupon and it wouldn't scan at SNS, so the cashier wouldn't accept it.

  10. Tara - Thanks for sharing your experience.

  11. I know it's kind of late for this, but don't forget the Catalina for Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks. My son loves these, so I got 3 and received a $1.50 Catalina. Once I saw that, I went back and got 6 more and received a $3.50 Catalina.

  12. I'm not familiar with Fruit Snacks Catalina. Do you have any more details?

  13. I hope it doesn't offend you to reference another website, but I did a little looking around and here's a website that seems to explain it: http://pueblopennypincher.blogspot.com/2009/10/betty-crocker-fruit-snacks-catalina.com. I don't know what dates it's running at SNS though. I got my fruit snacks when they were on sale for $1.24, which I believe ran through October 31.
