October 4, 2009

Milk prices shot up at Aldi this week, but they are still less than the "big" grocery stores in town.

My favorite buys week: Pumpkins - $1.99 each and again this week, Multi-colored Peppers - .99 for a 3 count package.

If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been a while:1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons.

  1. Can I freeze whipping cream? After defrosting and using, will the consistency be the same?

  2. Hi Tisha, I did a quick search and from what I read, it won't wip if you freeze it as it come home from the store, but some people whip it and put it into little dollups and freeze them. Let me know if you give it a try.

  3. Huh, that's weird. I would have thought that it would whip up fine, LOL
I'll try the dollup freeze and will tell you how it works. Thanx
