I got my first ECBs at CVS today! Bought 2 Dove Mens Care body wash and 1 Colgate, got $12.98 ECBs and made $2 profit with coupons. It was cool to finally see how it works in person. The St Louis areas stores and ads are now on the CVS website.
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ! I haven't been yet but I am going to try to go this week. Hopefully I can figure it all out.
ReplyDeleteHi CJ - Don't you love how easy CVS is. Thanks for letting us know the website finally has the St Louis store listed.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda - CVS is easy. The only thing is be prepared for empty shelves. The City store's shelves are wiped clean - even stuff not on sale. Ask for raincheck if you store is out; they never expire and you will still get your EBC's.
Yup CVS is easy! The only thing I did wrong was buying the 2 Dove body wash together. I should have bought one and then used that ECB to buy the next one. I'll try that next time. I like that the ECBs are good for a month, that gives me plenty of time to use them.
ReplyDeleteSo if you buy the stuff together it generates one ECB? So for any deal it's best to buy seperate? Sorry still confused & it's hard to figure it out because they are out on Monday morning...grr
ReplyDeleteYou're figuring it out Rachel. The Dove was on sale for $5.49 and triggering a $5.49 ECB (limit 2).
ReplyDeleteBuy them in one transaction and get a $10.98 ECB. But, you could buy the first one at $5.49 and turn around and use the $5.49 ECB to pay for the second one and still go home with a $5.49 ECB.
Here was my plan - But, I only got a raincheck.
1st transaction:
buy (1) dove $5.49
use $1.25 coupon
pay $4.24 get $5.49 ECB
2nd transaction:
buy (1) Dove $5.49
buy Sunday paper $1.50
use $1.25 coupon
use $5.49 ECB I just got
pay .25 get $5.49 ECB
If my ECB didn't print, is there a phone number I can call?
ReplyDeleteHi Fran - Was the store not able to help you, or did you not notice until you got home?
ReplyDeleteI would start at the store level. Take your merchandise and receipt back to them. The receipt has great info on it including the ECB deals you have done for the week.
If they can't help you, CVS's toll free number is 888-607-4287.
So is it similar to Walgreens in that you have to have the same number of items per coupons? or can you use manf. coupons plus ECBs? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel - I don't think you have to count items and coupons at CVS. But I'm not compeletly sure.
ReplyDeleteI do know they will adjust the ECB down to match what you owe. So, if you have $.01 more in ECB's that what you want to buy, you don't have to buy something else to cover it. They will adjust the ECB.
