With the CVS stores ready to open St Louis, lots of readers have questions. I've shopped at CVS a few time, and loved it, but I'm not an expert CVS shopper. I don't have the experience to write a "how to guide."

Unlike 'abusing' Wags, there are limits on ECB rewards. Often it's only one and usage of muliply cards, even if you are shopping for family members, is a YMMV. When it come to CVS coupons, not everyone is treated equal. Anything I received by email or by scanning my CVS card has been either useless or a joke. Finally, if you want a freebie (w/ECB) or good bargains from the new ad, be at your nearby CVS store when the doors open on Sunday morning.

ReplyDeleteThe big plus is that unlike Wags, CVS employees will provide a raincheck, even for items that have ECB. The exceptions are seasonal stuff and if the store doesn't stock something. Throw in that CVS managers and employees want you to shop and find bargains, unlike the Wags headaches.
ReplyDeleteDon't be discourged Lynda, it might be hard to pick up the weekly deals the week they are on sale, but the raincheck system works well and you still get your ECB's.

Some of us read other 'bargain hunting' web site to keep abreast of trends and what happened to other at the Big 3, Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aids. IMHO, the best sites are SD, HCW (CW), A Full Cup, B$ and FW. One site that Barb09 now post heavily on, escape right now. The old timers will recall that five year back, FW was the site and newbies and the unlighteben were openly treated like crap.
