We are going to use the last of the Eckert's peaches I froze this past summer. Every time we've had them it is like a taste of summer. I've been trying to ration the peaches, but they will be gone way too soon. I can't believe I'll have to wait another six months to have more.

I'm going a little off topic, except Lent begins this week. By the size of the lines at LJS and Cap'D and the growth of fish fries, more families are eating the catch of the week. Last year I found good deals over at Market Place.
ReplyDeleteThe ad started today and goes through next Sunday. Be warn, some products may have came from the Far East. Some good buys on fish will never make the ad.
Whole Catfish (value pack) $1.99 lb.
Pollack Fillet (value pack) $.99 lb.
Catfish Nuggets (value pack) $1.69
B2 Tuna Helper and get a 5 oz. can of StarKist Tuna w/in-ad coupon
Thanks, kas!
ReplyDeleteI'll make sure I'll put Market Place in this week's Other Grocery store post. I wish we could find better fish prices at the stores in St Louis.
I'm always on the lookout for yummy menu choices. We're still having to watch our pennies.
