When is the best time to go get the Target deals? I tried to get the Quaker oatmeal (the single serving pkgs) last Thurs but by that time the stores were on to what people were doing with the $5 gc's and wouldn't let me have it. And then on Saturday, they were out of the venus razors. Do you find that it's best to go early in the week, maybe on Sun when the new papers come out or Monday? I need to change my strategy because I'm tired of seeing the spot empty at wags or Target, when I'm all ready to inflict some damage on the store. :) Please advise on what day you find it's best to hit the stores. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI find that Sunday afternoon is a good time. If you got to Wags to early on Sunday they don't have the RRs loaded and sometimes they don't have the merchandise out on the shelves yet. But to be honest every store is different. It also depends if they are a 24 hour store.
ReplyDeleteHi audannava - Early in the week is best for Target. I personally like Mondays. Sunday is crazy buys - not so much with people looking to the deals, but people that actually pay for toothpaste. :)
ReplyDeleteLinda is correct, it all depends on the Walgreens you shop. But again, early in the week is best. I like Sunday mornings at Walgreens. The stores I shop seem to have the RR's loaded and have stock out. It all depends on the store.
I find that some Walgreens have lots of "deal shoppers" and others not so much. I've found a store somewhat close to my neighborhood that still has all the good deals on Saturday. A friend in another part of town, knows which of the stores close to her are apt to have stock left. Try different stores late in the week, and you might find one that has stock left late in the week.
I'm heading out tonight and hopefully I'll have good luck. Thanks for the responses. I'll just keep at it until I figure out when is the best time to shop in my neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI find that walgreens runs out of their best deals by late Sun or early Mon. Luckily I have two Walgreens within a few miles of eachother so one of them is bound to have what I'm looking for or I just check back later in the week. Sometimes being patient pays off when they come out with a printable discount later in the week like last weeks 15% - 20% off on Friday.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I was told by a manager at the Fenton Walgreens last week that you no longer have to take the Friends and Family coupons to the Cosmetics counter to check out. I hope this is true at all Walgreens because the first time I used one last summer and didn't go to the right counter I was treated pretty rudely.
ReplyDeleteAlso find out what day the truck comes in at your Walgreens and go later in that day or early the next morning. They will likely have the shelves restocked at that time.
ReplyDeleteThe manager rang up my F&F coupon the other day at a regular register. I wasnt sure if it was just because she was a manager or if you could now check out an any register. The best time at my Wags seems to be early Sunday morning because its less busy. If I have trouble finding an item, the employees are usually very helpful. Most of the times I go the RR items are already on the shelves.
