There Back! Kmart Double Coupons

Angie at Short on Cents sent me an email with this great news.

Select Kmart locations are participating in Kmart's Double Coupon Event from 4/04/10 (Easter Sunday) to 4/10/10. Missouri stores are on the list of participating locations.

:: Event Rules ::

-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 Value are doubled up to $2 no matter what the retail price of a single item is

-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 Value (Thanks, Judy!)

-Does not include Kmart Store Coupons

-Does not include Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons

-Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day

If this is anything like previous Kmart double coupon events, all this information could change between now and April 4th. In fact, the stores themselves might not know if they are a participating location until they ring up the first customer that day. Yes, I've seen this happen. I'll keep you posted of what I hear.

Hang on to your high value coupons! I've always been able to pick up free items when Kmart doubles coupons.

The good news is Kmart is limiting customers to 5 coupon per day. This way, Kmart can spread the wealth freebies to everyone.

Thanks, Angie!

  1. Do you mean to say ..."are doubled up to $4"? :)

  3. I wish this wasn't going to be the week of Easter. In my experience w/the O'Fallon store, it's best to be there when the store opens on Sunday. After that, it's iffy if the shelves are re-stocked. Oh well, hopefully it'll be better this time!

  4. A limit of 5 coupon per person should keep the shelves stocked a little longer. I will not make any special trips for this one. Will be to much of a pain with a limit of 5 coupons.

  5. coupon.girl, Jeri's post is worded the same as an email I got from Kmart. I emailed them back to clarify what it meant. I got one back today was changed to:

Below are details regarding the Event:

Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 Value
Does not include Kmart Store Coupons
Does not include Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons
Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day.

  6. I am so happy to see double coupons back. I live right by Kmart and don't mind making a few trips through the week since the coupon limit is 5 per visit. If they run out of things that first day
I can usually find it restocked by Th or Fri. I like getting $4 off on pullups.

  7. Wow, up to $4.00 off. That's exciting. I hope our South County store participates in this.

  8. Thanks Judy for the clarification.

I think the 5 coupon limit is a good and bad situation. Good - more people will be able to get some freebies, bad - if you don't live close enough to make several trips.

  9. Hi Missourimom - The South County store has participating in the past when the Missouri store had this event.

I'm excited too. Not only have I been able to walk out of Kmart without paying anything for a purchase, but I've met some great people while shopping. It's fun to trade coupons and ideas in the store with others.

  10. I have read several Kmart emails to other people that state you have to use your Rewards Card to get the doubles. Mine did not say that, so I sent another asking if we do have to use the card. It would make sense, that way they could possibly limit the 5 per day rule. I'll post when I get an answer.

  11. Here's the reply from Kmart:

  12. Thanks Judy for traking down the additional info. I'll update the Kmart post so everyone will see it.

Are you a regular Kmart shopper and if you are can you give us any insight on the SYWR card? I see you can apply to get one on line, but was wondering if you can also get them at the store?

  13. Here's one problem from the past. If you have a $2.00/2 MQ and each item cost under $4.00, only twice the cost of one items is subtracted. I watched one senior citizen hold up the line over the issue and forced the other Kmart associates to open a couple other lines. Not a bunch of happy slugs.

  14. Hi kas, I've always shied away from the $/# coupons when Kmart doubled. There are too many other freebies to be had without hassling with those.

  15. Hi Jeri, sorry I did not see your question. I am not a regular Kmart shopper, only for doubles in the past. I signed up for the card online when they first came out because they are good at Sears too. I used it for some Christmas purchases. If you sign up online, there is a printable you can use until your card comes in the mail.

  16. Hi Judy - Is anyone a Kmart shopper unless they are doubling coupons? Thanks for the additional info about signing up on line for a card. That helps alot.
