Doesn't look like a particularly good week at Dierbergs, but I did want to let everyone know to be on the lookout for "Try Me Free" peelies on Grande Chips in the chip aisle. I just happened to stroll down that aisle on Monday (specifically to look for Qs) and noticed the peelies on lots of bags, so I used one of my expiring $1 Qs and bought a bag. It gives you the option of your money refunded, or a FREE Q + 2-$1 off Qs, and expires on 10/31/10. This was at the Brentwood Pointe location.

Read the other day that the heat is killing cattle, mainly Black Angus, in Kansas. I'm unsure if these dead animals can be use at the slaughter house or not. I know some dairy farms sold off heifers, earlier in the year, in an attempt to force up the price of milk. Not really successful, IMHO.

A word of warning on the TMF Grande rebate - I did it early last year and had to wait 6 months to get my check, and then only got it because I kept hounding them about it. I hope they've gotten things straightened out and the rebates will work better this time. I wont be trying it again.
