I'm adding in an extra $10.00 to my totals. I had my husband stop at the store a couple of times for a few items (mostly bread and rolls) and I didn't keep track of the receipts.

For those who don't read my blog on a regular basis, my splurge funds are the difference between what I've actually spent and my $50 budget. I use it for those items I never find on sale, don't have coupons for, or when I'm over budget.
I wanna be like YOU when I grow up!!! ;) My goal for 2011: MORE COUPONS!!! ;D
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful year! I hope we both have a great 2011!
ReplyDeleteAnother great year Jeri! Do you know what you are going to do with your splurge funds yet?
ReplyDeleteJeri, what does your $50 budget include? Food and personal items? Do you have budgeted amounts for other categories?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love to figure out my % saved when I have a really great shopping trip. :) I know it is kind of misleading though because most of the time I would have never bought the items if they were full price. Do you have any idea how much you spent on items in this category before you started really coupon shopping? I have wondered how much I am really saving, but didn't keep really good records before.
Hi Laurie - It is acutally easier to do than it might look at first glace. All it takes is a little planning. If I can do that anyone can. Planning is not soemthing that come natural to me.
ReplyDeleteHi Coupon Teacher - Thanks for stopping by. I've seen your annual numbers and several other bloggers. The totals are surprisinly close - even though ever family has different needs.
Hi Lynda - I've got several smaller items on my list to spend with my splurge funds.
A contraption that peels apples is first on the list. I love buying cheap apples in the fall and making applesauce to freeze. But I hate standing in the kitchen peeling all those apples.
I would also like to redo out panty.
Hi Anonymouse - My $50 budget includes all the food we eat, personal products, cleaning products, paper produts and dog food. I don't include "adult beverages" or soda.
I have no idea how my spedning compares to pre couponing days. I didn't budget before and didn't keep records either. But, I think my savings # is fairly correct if not less than what I spent before.
We eat out much less than we did in the past. Mostly because I plan better. There were lots of nights in my pre couponing days where I had no idea what we were going to eat, so we had pizza delivers, ran for carry out Chinesse .......
