Walgreens Field Notes - Week of 2/13/11

See this week's Deals and coupon match-ups HERE.
  • Walgreens Diaper  - Are on a B1G1 sale this week.  Prices range between $8.99 to $9.49 at the Walgreens'  in the St Louis area.  Buy (2) and use the $2 coupon from the Walgreens Infant Care Booklet (it will deduct $4 when you buy 2 packages).  Final price:  $2.50 to $2.75 each wyb 2 after coupon.  (Thanks, KC!)
  • Neuragen PN - This is a monthly RR deal.  I saw this product on the shelf at several stores yesterday.  Ask at the pharmacy counter if they have any of the Diabetes & You Magazines.  Some of the stores still have some.
If you have any additional info for Walgreens this week, please leave a comment.

  1. The Arnicare is also a monthly deal. If you print the $2 coupons, it is a great deal.

  2. The Walgreens wipes are also B1G1 and have hard to find peelies on them for $2 off WYB both Walgreens diapers and wipes. They are manufacturer coupons and stack with the $2 Infant Care coupon. I did this deal today.
    2 diapers and 2 wipes for $3.48

  3. FYI - The Neuragen Q in the Diabetes and You magazine states "save $10 off the regular price." Just wanted to point that out for those who like to use coupons as intended. =)

Also, there is a new Arnicare Q available that doesn't beep (go to www.arnicare.com). I used it on Saturday and didn't have any trouble with it. Has anyone found the cream version of the Arnicare? I have only seen the gel in stores.

  4. Hi All,

TYVM for the Wags Diaper info. I was able to use up some RRs and picked up 12 pks of diapers a total of 552 and some wipes. I think my half sis will be good for a little while. That little one should be arriving tomorrow. =)

  5. I went to one Walgreens and they didn't have the infant care coupon book. At a second store I found the book and bought two packages. The computer didn't recognize the coupon and the clerk only deducted it off of one of the packages. It's still a good deal at $3.50/ea. so I didn't complain. I grabbed a few extra books and I may try to use the coupon at another store. Luckily, if I read right this coupon doesn't expire until the end of the year. Hopefully by the time the BOGO sale is on again this coupon will be better programmed.

  6. Has anyone seen the infant care books on the east side? They had not seen it in Swansea today
    Thanks!

  7. Hi All

Thanks Judy and Staci for the additional info.

Janet - How fun a new little one in the family! Especially fun when they sleep elsewhere.

Hi Adventures in Cooking - I haven't heard the coupon is beeping here in St Louis. To all of you would have done this deal, is that happeneing to you too?

I would imagine Walgreens will have several if not more deals on W Diapers before those coupons expire.

  8. Hi All,

Yesterday when I bought the diapers I was able to use the "code only" no coupon and everything deducted correctly. This was on 6 pks size 1 and 6 pks size 2. HTH =)

And I would love a booklet if anyone might find an extra one. You can get ahold of me through the CouponSTL Trader Forum =)

  12. EAST SIDE: Columbia, IL Walgreens had the booklets on a low shelf near the baby formula. That's the only Metro East store I found them in. I didn't find any wipes peelies anywhere, but I didn't go to East Belleville or O'Fallon.

  13. Thanks for the heads up for Columbia! Does anyone know if South County on Lemay Ferry has them?

  14. Lemay Ferry does NOT have them. Someone stole them all and also took all the $2 off peelies the wipes! A super nice cosmetic counter woman told me they had problems UGH!
Still $2.50 is a great deal for diapers!

  15. Oh, she also just typed in the number from the coupon

  16. I did the deal with the code (2844) since I couldn't find the booklets. It worked great. The cashiers wanted to know what coupon it was because they hadn't even heard about the infant care booklet and it was such a good Q. I did find wipes peelies. They "worked" but they only took off $1 each (they are Qs for $2 each). The cashier thinks it is programmed weird in the computer because the dipes and wipes are both B1G1. Regardless, I ended up getting the dipes for $2.50/ea and the wipes for $.50/ea. Not bad, not bad. The peelies actually say they are invalid if you remove them before getting to the register, so, shame on anyone that has been stealing them all.

  17. Hi Lemay Ferry Shopper - No one is taking all of those for their own use. This type is situation is why I personally would never buy coupons on ebay that weren't in the inserts. If there wans't a market for tearpad, peelies, coupon book coupons, people would not take them all.

Hi CValentine - The Wipes coupons must be coded incorrectly. Did the cashier manually fix the problem?

    ReplyDelete
  18. the wipes coupon has been coded incorrectly forever! I used some a couple weeks ago and had problems. The problem with the 'must be taken off at register', I bought 4 wipes a couple weeks ago and only needed 2 of the coupons. I used them later. I did not have any problems with using them later, but kept my original receipt along just in case.
at 2 different stores, I had 2 different managers 'fix' the $2 coupon only deducting $1. The correct way as I see it, is to void the $1 and just manually take off $2. But one manager told the cashier (who was another manager) to just scan it twice. I pointed out that would prevent me from using all of my register rewards and he looked at me like I had 3 heads.
The cashier manager understood and I was able to use all my register rewards and such.
Thank goodness I was paying attention!

By the Way-- O'fallon, Colunbia, ans Swansea (all Illinois) stores finally got the coupon books. A manager told me for some reason lots of their signage was delayed on the truck for weeks. She didn't know why. Moral? keep asking for the books! Also, look in weird places. I found them twice flat on the shelf like someone was too lazy to put the magazine they were reading back. =)

  19. Hi Tonya - Managers at Walgreens never cease to amaze me. They must not get any training on how coupons work with their computer systems.

I agree to keep looking for the Infant Care Coupon Book.

  20. Hi All,

I have to give you all a super Big Thank You for this one again. I found the coupon booklet this morning when I picked up the Skintimate and bought another 8 pks of diapers and 4 wipes, after coupons and RRs total $.90 + $1.77 tax =$2.67 =) I was also able to get a RC for the size 2s. =)
