  1. At Shop 'n Save, can you use an additional MQ with a BOGO coupon for the item you are purchasing?

    ReplyDelete
  2. I'm new to Shop n Save--if I want to use a $5 off $50 from the Entertainment book and the $20 Catalina from the gift card promotion when I go on Coupon Thursday, does my total just have to be $50 before any of the coupons, or should it be more to account for either of those deals?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hi Anonymous - Using a B1G1 coupon and a $/1 coupon is acceptable copuon usage. I rarely ever have a problem using coupons at SNS.

If your cashier doesn't think you should be able to use coupons this way, have them call a Customer Service employee of the store manager to clarify.

  4. Hi Kaycee - I'm planning on using the same coupons you mentioned. Here is what my transaction is going to look like.

    Purchase $50.00
    $10/$50 Thursday - $10.00 (deducted automatically)
$5/50 coupon from Entertainment book -$5.00
    Gift Card Catalina -$20.00
    Manufacturer coupon -$10.00 (hopefully)
    = $5.00 + tax out of pocket.

  5. Hi Jeri,

I thought the ad stated that we weren't allowed to use the $5 off $50 coupons from the Entertainment Book on a $10 off $50 Thursday anymore. Did I read it wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Kaycee,

You can use the $20 and $5 off on your SNS trip. Plus you will get the $10 dollar off on Thursday. If you add that up, you are almost certain to get a free transaction with other coupons. The total only needs to be $50.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Trecia-if I read it correctly, you cannot purchase Entertainment books to count towards your $50 total. You can, however, use the coupons inside the Entertainment Books to reduce your total from $50-$10Thursday-$5 coupon to $35 before manufacturer coupons. I think the ad has always stated that, and none of us ever have problems using the coupons this way.

  8. I did a huge price checking mission yesterday (hoping to use my $20 catalinas to stock up on basics that seldom go on sale). It truly shocked me how much items have gone up when I had a huge list of my common pantry staples! Those cents truly have added up. Now to start planning:) Going to be a great week, especially not making myself worry so very much about coupon matchups!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hi Trecia - Are you refering to the weekly ad where the $10 off $50 is advertised?

The mention of Entertainment books in the ad means that purchasing the actual Entertainment book is one of the items excluded from the $10 off $50 pruchase requriement, just like milk is exlcuded. It doen't mean you can't use the coupon from the book on a $10 off $50.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Hi Melissa - There aren't any good coupon match-ups in the ad this week. I was quite shocked when I was getting this post together.

I'm going to be posting a price check (hopefully tomorrow) I hope you add your list in the comments.

  13. Good Afternoon to All,

I did stop in SNS earlier for price cking and such. I had 2 $20 Cat expiring today from last week.

    Today I bought 1st trans:

    1 $100 Lowes GC
2 MM Instant Rice $1.68 ea
5 pks Oscar Mayer 1 lb Deli Shaved OR Turkey $3 ea
    1 bx Ent. donuts $2
1 Airwick candle **One of my Favs** $4.88
    Used: 2 x -$1/1 MM Rice
    1 x $20 GC Cat
    $103.85
Rec'd back the $20 GC and a $4 Cat for OM Lunchmeats. I was trying to verify the OM Lunchmeat cat for our area**Thanks to Tracey w/CW for the early info.

The Oscar Mayer Cat states: Now Save even more. Buy Oscar Mayer Lunchmeat between 6/13 & 7/10/11. Buy 3 Get $2, Buy 4 get $3 and Buy 5 + Get $4. I do not know what other lunchmeat products would be involved in this promo. OM coupon for -$1/2 OM Deli Fresh or 1 lb shaved in the 5/15 SS.

    My second trans:

    4 x $25 McDs GCs
3 OM OR Turkey 1 lb
2 OM Smoked Turkey 1 lb
1 1 lb bag of Shrimp
    1 pk Tangy Zangy candies
    -$20 GC cat
    -$1 on Shrimp
    Total $102.31

Rec'd back the $20 GC Cat and $2 OM Cat-I am thinking the OM Smoked Turkey did not trigger the higher cat. Hope that helps. =)

  14. Hey everyone...

I emailed this to Jeri yesterday but my email got zapped...grrrrr! The June edition of ALL YOU magazine has an entire stapled-in section of Con-Agra coupons in it!!!! The magazines are still in my Walmart check-out lanes (check the lowest rung) and on-sale for $1.88. There is a Peter Pan natural PB Q, Hunts Ketchup, Poppycock, Snackpack pudding, Chef Boyardee and a few more match-ups in there...totally worth snagging at $1.88. PLUS, there are some other great deals (B2G1 free on Nivea body wash), $1 Banana Boat, $2 off Dr. Scholls, free Juicy Juice with purchase of Little Swimmers, etc. They also have Qs for July's magazine which comes out in a few days.

ALSO, if you go to the Con Agra website you can pull up their "Hunger Ends Here" page...if you have a product code from one of the items listed, you can get a few more Qs.

    HTH!!!! EVE

    ReplyDelete
  15. For the OM cat, doesn't it make more sense to just buy 4.
    $3 x 5 = $15 - $4.50 (30% $10/$50, EB) - $2 ($1/2 x 2 MQ) = $8.50, get $4 back. Net $4.50 or $.90 each

    $3 x 4 = $12 - $3.60 (30%) - $2 (MQ)= $6.40, get $3 back, net $3.40 or $.85 each.

Not much of a difference, but just wanted to point out less was actually a better deal for those that didn't really want 5 packs.

  16. Just got home from my serious 'scouting' trip to SNS. I spied one other shopper there doing the same thing at the Edville store...anyone? Anyway, saw a couple other Cats advertised:

    Marie's Salad Dressing: $3.98 (receive $2)

On the Oscar Mayer Cat, it was posted in both the bologna and deli meat section. Price for 1lb turkey was $5, small turkey was $4.18. See Janet's post for details.

Dole Fruit Gels or Fruit Parfaits: $2.23 e - receive $.75 coupon when you buy 4

Dole Manadarin Oranges (canned): $1.08 e - receive $.75 coupon when you buy 4...match this with recent $.50 off two and you get them for $.51 a can on Thurs!

I also spied a few nice non-advertised deals there...

Pampers "Dry Max" jumbo packs on clearance for $6.35 (all sizes)

Arm & Hammer Powder Laundry (44 loads): $5.96

Schick Hydro 3: $6.77 (would be awesome for P&G deal with new $4 coupon).

I did tons of price-checking so feel free to ask a price...not going to type them all out and take up even MORE space right now!

  17. Good Morning to All,

Looks like everyone is gearing up for a good Thursday.

JB-Thanks a million for typing out the price comparison. I was thinking on the fly yesterday and did not do any math scribbling. I was more concerned with using the $20 GC and being able to get some $ back without the ConAgra deal. Since this promo runs til next month we can hope for some better prices. I am stocked with lunchmeat for awhile ohhh and cheese(thanks to Kraft).

Eve-Thanks a million for doing the price cks. I do shop the Eville store every now and then-maybe some day we will run into each other. =)

And a Huge Thanks to Shannon also for the price cks. =)

Have a Great Day to All.

  18. Good Afternoon to All,

Just cking in and noticed that the Extra Ad for Dierbergs has the Manufacturers Coupon -$1.50/3 Orville Redenbachers Gourmet Popping Corn 3-pks exp 7/17/11. Would work great at SNS with the ConAgra deal is you are needing to stockup on popcorn. =)

  19. Hi All - Thanks for all of the additional info.

I'm hopefully going to get a price check and the Cats posted today, but it's been one of those morning.

  20. Hello there!

Wondering if anyone has/will be checking on some P&G items for the ongoing cat?

    Specifically:
    Herbal Essences shampoo & hairspray
    Head & Shoulders
    Aussie Hair Spray
    Gillette Body Wash

    Thanks so much!

    ReplyDelete
  21. What really is the price of Oscar Mayer 1lb. deli shaved turkey? Ms. Janet said it's $3 and Eve said, $5 and $4.18. ?!? Thanks a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Always liners: $5.98
    Always Infinity 16ct: $4.47
    Always Infinity 32ct: $7.87
    Tampax Pearl Plastic multipack: $8.87
    Pantene regular sized bottle: $3.78
    Aussie: $3.87
    Head and Shoulders: $5.37
there was another H&S that was cheaper but I forget which variety
    Secret: $4.27
    Herbal Esscences: $3.97

You know what's a bummer about the gift card deals? I *just* bought a washer and a fridge from Sears. They have Sears gift cards at SNS. I could have gotten a TON of free groceries. I was talking to the cashier about it and she said a woman came in and got a bunch of Best Buy cards b/c she was buying a new TV. Its a super great deal if you are already going to buy a big ticket item like that.

BTW, Crestwood SNS is out of BP cards and they don't know if they will get more before its over.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh and I just got things in 2 trips that never have coupons. My daughter is on a gluten free diet so I love opportunties to get stuff like that on sale...especially if its free. Shopping in $20 increments is slow though, at least I got to go kid free and price check some other things for Thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have heard from 2 people who went to two different SNS's (today and yesterday) and were told that the gift card deal ($20 off next purchase when you buy $100 in gift cards) has ended. Last week's ad said the offer was good until 6/18. Am I reading the ad incorrectly?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hi coupon.girl,

The OM Oven Roasted Turkey 1 lb pouch/bag UPC #4470003399 is the one I purchased for $3, the $5 one is a 1 lb container. Hope that helps.

Have a great evening to All.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi Stephanie,

I bought Lowes & Red Lobster today and got the Cat both times. The promo ends on the 18th.

    Hope that helps. =)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Does anyone know if SNS carries Virgin Mobile phone cards? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yes the Gift Card promo is up and running...I got Disney Bucks today for my upcoming trip! I also thought about getting Lowes b/c we are planning to put in a new water heater. Hmmmm...have to ask the hubs about that.

Bad news is that I was told by my store's CSM that the P&G Cat is over. He said they misprinted the signs for the wrong dates. Not sure if this info is valid or not...but he seemed pretty sure.

coupon girl, sorry about the confusion on the turkey. I just jotted down the two prices that I saw (one for the 1lb package and one for the small container).

    ReplyDelete
  29. Good Morning to All,

Eve-Maybe the CSM was thinking about the Energizer Promo. The P&G Promo runs til the 18th. This was unadvertised so I doubt any store will know much about it. HTH If I had extra Ivory coupons I would test it today to make sure but I have all my Ivory coupons planned out for Thursday since I special ordered the bodywash.

    Hi JB,

Not sure about Virgin Mobile-I will try to ck today when I pop in.

Have a great day to All.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Good Morning All,

Well, this week is going to be very different for me. I will not be doing any of the Catalina deals as most of the products I don't care. As my garden is in full blossom, picking my first Butternut Squash today, and local produce is coming in, I will be prepping for the onslaught of home canning to come.

So, basically buying Shop N Save sausage for DH (he only likes it for his breakfast sandwiches I make each week), sugar for jams, jellies etc, Diet Coke for me, 10 lbs of Unsalted Butter for baking plus Nestle morsels. Kinda funky but when everything is ready - you have to do it. The produce doesn't really give you a choice. It will be long, but FUN days (lots of family time and funny events with three dogs who help themselves to whatever they can snatch.)

It is the nicest feeling though to go to your stockpile and have foodstuffs you raised organically and the taste if out of this world.

So, I will be the woman with a husband carrying around 10 lbs. of butter.

Have a great day all. WooHoo the sun is out and that means mowing for me.

    ReplyDelete
  31. WTG Rhonda on the garden and the canning. Guess I will make up doing the ConAgra for you-was planning on doing plenty of sauce and other stuff for the Hope Center this week. I have a few things planted but not enough for canning-I leave that to MIL since I gave her all my supplies last year or the year before. I just hope I do not overload the Hope Center. But I guess that would be a good thing. =)

  32. Hi All - I hope the people that are getting misinformation form their stores about the ending dates of Catalina deals, call SNS corporate.

Either those stores aren't getting the information, or they aren't paying attention to what information they do get. Either way they need to be better informed about the deals going on in their stores.

We've decided to shingle our garage ourselves. I shooed away the crazy contractor yesterday. Someone who screams at me and cusses at the neighbor isn't going to work at our house.

So I get to buy $700 of Home Depot Giftcard and might be on the garage roof all weekend. I'm going to feel like Couponer Gone Wild at SNS will all those $20 Catalinas.

  34. Can someone help me with printing the Tombstone coupon? It says to sign in using "cindy dickerson's" password. I would love this coupon but cannot figure out how to print it.

    thanks so much!
    Nikki

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hi Nikki - I didn't pay close enough attention to the Tombstone link when I posted it. It was from an individuals email not for the general public. Sorry about the confusion.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Jeri,

Good job on shooing the guys away. Definitely, the right thing to do. You should put a review on Angie's List to let people know about your experience.

I did not shingle my own garage and house, but, I did tear the roof off and put the black paper on. Definitely, invest in a swinging staple gun. They are the best. Mom and Dad intervened and said I couldn't shingle. I love doing stuff like that. Just stay safe and have fun at Shop N Save.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks Jeri! not a problem at all just wanted to make sure I wasnt crazy haha!

Does anyone know how much the Premium cake mixes that come free when you buy (2) duncan hines products?

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Does anyone know if Con Agra deal stacks?

ANON...I think the cake mixes are $1.25.

    ReplyDelete
  39. If only I could use (2) of the $20 Cat. Q from the GC deal in one transaction on Coupon Thursday, it would be really great. :( I have to plan on getting exactly $20 plus a little bit more per transcation to be able to use each one. Can't complain though since it's gonna be free grociers, but then... ;)...ughs! have to abide by the coupon's policy. :I

Have a Great evening to All. =)

  41. Yes, the DH cake mixes are 1.25.

Another question. If the hot dogs are instant savings, do they count toward hitting the $50 total? I'm at 50.51 right now and 6.53 after Qs, and that's counting them.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Shannon,
Yes the hot dogs should count.

  43. Has anyone ever bought propane on a $10 off $50 Thursday? Does it count towards your $50?

    ReplyDelete
  45. RE: Propane - the fine print on the ad says it excludes fuel. Sorry, I asked about that one before too. Wouldn't that be cool??

RE: GC stack - one friend said she paid at the courtesy counter for $200 in GCs on one order and it spat out 2 cats for her. Another friend said she had to do $100 per trans to get the cats. Anyone else care to comment?

  46. Conagra cat is not printing at dardenne prairie right now. Can somebody post if it starts working again? I was planning to roll it and this really messes with the plan.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Just got back....had a few minor issues but over all a good trip....the P&G cat did not print for me so i have to call catalina....the conagra did not print twice, but printed the third time..i think the problem in the first two is the healthy choice mizers...they have me catalinas they already printed out though....for three trips total before coupons was 208.10 after coupons 14.10...so roughly 93% savings...i have to figure out if i should try another time with the P&G....

Has anyone had the P&G print tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Good Morning to All,

First off after Midnight the Catalina system goes down to do updates if you go during this time no cats will print. HTH.
