I looked all over the store for some this morning. Then nearly knocked over the free standing display at the check out. So, if they aren't by the office supplies look near the check out. Big huge display with probably 50-75 scissors on it.
All of my scissors have been ruined for one reason or another and I was too cheap to buy new ones. This was perfect! Thanks for the tip.
Marcella - I walked right by a huge display of them on my way to customer service and then was embrassed when an employee pointed them out to me. Silly us for expecting scissors to be in the office supplies section!
The Schnuck's store in Bridgeton still has a few hundred of the scissors! Each check-out lane has a display of them! Plus alot more in the back I'm told!
I grabbed 2 of 4 pair I found in office supplies (didn't want to be a shelf clearer) and then when I got to the checkout, there were displays on every checkout lane! Unfortunately, they have decided to only allow one per trxn. Seemed silly even to the checker when she said I could do multiple trxns, so she let me buy both in one transaction since I was only getting two. I would have bought more, but I will probably just go back since I was short on time. This was at Overland Plaza, btw.
The Richmond Hts store also had Scotch kids scissors for $1 with the same $1 coupons next to them. Coupon beeped at the self scanner but the cashier pushed it through. There were only a few coupons left there today at 3:30pm.
Jeri - I'm the Anonymous who sent the photo, thats my hand! The Webster Groves store had about 50 left and the Kirkwood store about 10.
ReplyDeleteAlso found these tearpad coups at Schnucks today: $1/2 Tostitos, B1G1 free M&M singles and $1/2 Butterfinger or Nestle Crunch.
Thanks for the deal!!! Yay, more scissors to cut our coupons with!
ReplyDeleteThanks, CJ for sending the picture. I though it might have been you. I'll be looking for those tearpads.
ReplyDeleteI broke out the new scissors this morning. They are very sharp and worked great. Yeah for free sharp scissors.
