Aldi Produce Picks - Week of 1/22/12

January 22 - 28, 2012

Aldi still has Spiral Sliced Hams marked down.  They are $4 off regular price at the store I shop - use by date, February 12th.

Aldi now has their local ads online.   Produce Pick start on Sunday and Special Buys on Wednesday.  If you're not in the St Louis area, check your local area's ad for prices and dates.

:: Aldi Produce Picks ::

Avocados - $0.39 each
Baby Carrots (16 oz) - $0.39
Celery - $0.59 stalk
Grape Tomatoes (10 oz) - $0.79
Pineapple - $1.19 each
Oranges (3 lb) - $1.29

 :: Other Good Deals ::

Skim Milk (gallon) - $2.79
2% Milk (gallon) - $2.89
Whole Milk (gallon) - $2.99
Eggs (dozen) - $1.19
Butter (1 lb) - $2.20

If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been awhile:
1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons

If you buy something at Aldi you are not please with, they have a double guarantee. If for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with any product, they will replace the product AND refund your money. More info HERE.

    Eggs were $1.09/dozen @ the 5th St. Aldi in St. Charles. Go figure!

      And skim milk only $2.42/gal. Weird how prices between Aldi stores in the same general area will differ.

    2. Hi Kelly - Thanks for your price check in St Charles.

      Is the store not very busy? When I started shopping at the Holly Hills store it wasn't very busy. Now, you are lucky to find a place to park. Sometimes, I wonder if stores charge what they think they can get away with?

      I know of two Walgreens within a mile of each other that have differnt price points. I've seen items 20% differnt in price.

  2. I just came back from Aldi. I was hoping for some ham but didn't find any. Bummer!

  3. The Aldis on the Illinois side of the river still have them in the Shiloh and O'Fallon stores as of Friday last week.
