Walgreens Field Notes - Week of 2/19/12

A few comments from readers of what is happening at Walgreens -  see this week's Walgreens deals and coupon match-ups. 
  • Dove+Men Deodorant - The in-ad coupon for Dove doesn't work on this type of deodorant. (Thanks, Christene and ellamenopea!)
  • Natures Bounty Vitamins & Supplements - When you use a Walgreens coupon on a B1G1 sale it effects how much money is deducted for the free product.  (Thanks, Denise)
Here is how the B1G1 Nature Bounty CoQ10 deal is working

Buy (2) Natures Bounty CoQ10 @ $29.99  = $59.98
Use (2) $7/1 Nature Bounty Coupons (2/12/12 RP) - $14.00
Use Walgreens $7/1 coupon in February Coupon Book - $14.00
Amount deducted for B1G1 sale - $22.99 (price less the $7 Walgreens coupon)
Final price: $8.99 or $4.50 each wyb 2 after stacked coupons

    Went to wags yesterday to pick up free hair elastics...got two very early bday or Christmas presents for my kids: they had large PaperJamz guitars and drums for $4.49 (reg $29.99). I noticed these on sale at other Wags in my area...so be on the look out! Eve

      LOL, Jeri! We banish the kids to the basement for 'make as much noise as you want time'..also, I'm not against giving these away at birthday parties! Sure beats paying $20 on a gift to 'get to go' to a party! Eve

    I bought Dry Idea deodorant yesterday. Two varieties were on clearance at my store (Wisconsin) for $2.29-$2.49. That was a better deal than B1G1 free, so I just went with those.

    BUT - They still rang up BOGO free! It was quite the deal. Might want to just check for that clearance (since clearance varies!).

    If anyone hasn't done the CoQ10 deal yet, you may want to try this: I couldn't do the B1G1 deal at my Walgreens but they only had 1 left. I asked the manager if they would just give me 50% off the one. They did! They charged me $15 and I was able to use both $7 off coupons, so I only paid a dollar! I went to another Walgreens and was able to do the same deal there! So I got 2 bottles for $2!
