Monday: Pasta Con Broccoli, Green Salad
- Broccoli & mushrooms on sale this week at Aldi. When they go on sale, I put Pasta con Broccoli on my menu plan. It makes for easy planning when I don't have to think.
- I have buns leftover from the weekend we need to use. Hopefully the weather will continue to be mild, so we can fire up the grill.
- Pioneer Woman made this soup a few week's ago on her Food Network show. I've been waiting for peppers to go on sale at Aldi to make it.
- I had never heard of, or noticed Sun-Bird seasonings until last month when they had a coupon available. There seasoning make for a quick and easy meal that my family enjoys.
- I made this soup for the first time a few weeks ago and it was a big hit. It will be the perfect dish for Friday night because my son's leaving for a campout and it's always up in the air what time and who is driving until the last minute. With dinner in the Crockpot, I don't have to worry about what he or my husband ( if he's driving) is going to eat before they leave or get back.
- We have a Groupon (or two) we need to use and my son is going to be gone on a campout. I don't think you've ever been married too long to need a date night.
What's for dinner at your house this week?

I've been really busy lately and NOT meal planning...which only makes it worse. I had to sit down and actually plan this week. Plus now I need to make sure we have meatless meals b/c of lent.
I Marcella - I wasn't so good about menu planning last spring when life got busy. With a stockpile it's possible to not plan much for a few weeks, but it after than it really makes life more difficult.
DeleteYou all inspire me! We have two small kids...so I usually only need two large meals for weekdays. Today we'll use the rest of my chicken from this weekend and those awesome peppers from Aldi (BTW the bag has three colored peppers...not their usual green one thrown in) for chicken fajitas and corn pudding and Weds will go for baked pasta and steamed broccoli. Eve
ReplyDeleteHi Eve - You'll be shocked when those little ones start to grow. Mine went from eating like birds to not being able to fill them up.
Delete...LOL! Not looking forward to that! My BIG body right now is whole milk and diapers - can't wait to be done with diapers! Eve
Delete"Cost" not body ...dumb phone!
DeleteSorry to tell you, but it dosen't get cheaper when they get out of Diapers. You just then spend money on preschool, sports teams, dance lessons, music lessons, camp .......
DeleteMy 2 boys eat like beasts...and they are 8 & 5. I can't imagine what it will be like when they are teenagers. My daughter is 2 and eats nothing. I hate this phase b/c they get to be soooo picky b/c they just don't need to eat for about 6 months. Not sure which is worse ;)
DeleteWe're having Chicken Tacos, Spaghetti, Spanish Rice and a few others - all gluten free!
