DeleteBefore, the cashier would usually push them through at the full value, but I'm sure it depends on the cashier you check out with.
I've decided the best way to shop at Schnucks is to go with zero plan and just walk the aisles. I found Bisquick biscuit pouches marked at 25 cents (original price $1.36). I bought 8 on a whim and received the 40 Boxtops! Nice accident.
ReplyDeleteAlso, they had Quaker 'whole hearts' cereal-a new product similar to cheerios-marked down to $1.50 (original price $3.89). Of course after coming home I found a Quaker bricks coupon-would make them only $1 box.

DeleteAll is not lost - Next time you're at Schnucks, take your coupon to Customer Service along with your receipt & they will give you the money for your coupon. Grocery stores have always be willing to do this for me with no problem but not so at the retail/discount stores.
I work at a Schnucks - and our coupon policy states no overage on coupons. The cashier is suppose to key in the amount of the product instead of putting them thru for the full value! I know alot of them do go thru for full value; but, unfortunately, I can't let that happen when shopping for myself - could jeopordize my job! In my opinion, they should go thru for the full value, since they will get reimbursed for the full value.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the "insider" info. It must not be easy to look back through the transaction to find the price of the product if the coupon needs to be reduced. I can see why some cashiers just push them through.
DeleteAny ideas on how the GM box top promo is working? If I buy 16 things will 2 catalinas print out or do I need to do separate transactions?
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard either way. It's probably the safest to split your transaction up into two orders. Keeps you from having to go to Customer Service if it doesn't double up.
