  1. I'm disappointed to see that the sale price on Marie Callenders dinners is only good when you buy 8. There's no way I'd ever fit 8 of those in my freezer! I dont like when stores seem to cater to people who can buy larger quantities. and forget about singles and small families who dont need as much. I hope SNS doesnt continue pricing like this. Meanwhile I'll be buying mine at Schnucks this week where they are the same price and no quantity requirements. SNS loses my business against this week.

  2. I too agree with CJ. I was happy to see they were only $2, but then I noticed I had to buy 8. But I got happy again when I noticed Schnucks had them for the same price with no minimum. Thanks Schnucks! Over a week I can and will buy eight, not just all at once.

    1. The shelf tags at SNS only show the 4/$10 price, no mention of the buy 8 requirement. Thats a bit of false advertising on SNS's part. Most people wont see the ad and will probably end up paying full price without noticing. I did buy the $2.98/lb ground beef this week with the 4 lb requirement. Unfortunately thats the only way to get a decent price on ground beef anymore. I just wish there were better deals for all, not just for large amounts.

    2. Hi, if the shelf tag only shows the 4/$10 price then by my reading SNS is legally required to sell that quantity of the item to you for that price, at least in MO. I have had good luck asking to speak with the manager in such circs and just nicely tell them I would like the item sold to me for the advertised price because they can not omit a "material fact" like a different quantity, per MO state law. Here is the link to the MO Rules for Advertising: http://ago.mo.gov/publications/advertisingrules.pdf

    3. I think the issue is that the ad price is $2 each when you buy 8. The regular (shelf) price is 4/$10. So if you buy 4, you'll pay $10, which comes out to $2.50 each. CJ and others (me included) don't like when stores put such high purchase requirements on sale prices (especially for perishables) because small families can't use that much. I would ask the manager if s/he'd be willing to sell me 4 for $2 each, otherwise I'll just go to Schnucks. The shelf tag not indicating the weekly sale price is unfair for someone who normally would buy say, 6, spending $15, not realizing that they could buy 2 more for only $1 more.
