ReplyDeleteMilk 2% gal. $2.49
DiGiorno Pizza 1st ??? 2nd $.01 Cheaper than Wags?
On the Crest Rinse, is the limit 2 offers per card owner? What if I go back the following day, can I still get 2 more if I use my card? And what if I don't use my card? Will I get the ECB?
ReplyDeleteSorry for the questions. I'm so new to this.
The answers are all NO. The ECB, which is at the end of your register receipt, has your name, last four numbers of your card and a bar code, along with other info. If you forget your card, just give the cashier your phone number and you should receive any ECB.
ReplyDeleteNow shopping for family, friends and relatives with their cards is a gray area. Some on other boards get upset, to put it mildly, when someone clean shelves 10 minutes after the doors open. IMHO, I can't make you feel guilty about being greedy, except don't going bragging about your accomplishments.
The DiGiorno is $6.99 for 1, so $7.00 for 2. There are $1 coupons in 1/24SS. I bought 2 Crest Pro rinse for $3 and used the $7 ECB for the pizza.
ReplyDeleteHi coupon.girl - Yep, as kas says, you're done once you hit the limit. I actually like the limits at CVS. I never have that nagging feeling of should I run back for more.
ReplyDeleteHi kas - Thanks for getting back to coupon.girl before I could. I think the price for DiGiorno is pretty high at CVS. So, I think it would be only a few cents savings over Walgreens price. If anyone gets there today, hopefully they report the price.
I totally agree with you about cleaning out shelves. I don't want to hear about it.
Thanks Judy, I was typing - I hope someone reports the DiGiorno price at the same time you did.
ReplyDeleteDiGiorno is a much better price that I expected.
Thanks a lot, Kas & Ms. Jeri! We are down to our last bottle of Mouthwash that's why I was thinking of buying some. But I guess it's not a good idea.:)
ReplyDeleteI got 4 DiGiorno and they let me use 4 $1 coupons. I should have been more detailed about what I bought. Actually I used the $7 ECB from the Crest on the pizzas, so they cost $6 for 4.
ReplyDeleteDo the ECB expire like RR? I am really confused on the whole CVS thing. I need to just go and start just like I did at Wags. I guess if I can figure out Wags I can figure anything out.
ReplyDeleteLynda - Be not afraid! Its easy once you do it and see how it works in person. The ECBs are good for one month and dont count as coupons, so much easier than Wags. Today I got 2 Cover Girl foundations, 1 Colgate, 1 Aussie shampoo and 2 large Glade candles. Used my $12.98 in ECBs from my last trip, $15 in coupons, paid $2.13 OOP and got $13 ECB back.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the price of the Purex 3-in-1 sheets? I was so excited about the freebies today, I forgot to look. They are B1G1 for .01 this week and here's a $1 coupon (can print 2) http://www.purex.com/promotions/
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to like CVS. I bought Aussie, Cover Girl Foundation/Powder, Crest Rinse and a bag tag. Used a $10 ECB and $1.03OOP. Got back $14 is ECBs. Yeah!!
ReplyDeleteHi Judy - Thanks for letting us know you could use all of your coupons on the DiGiorno. It's going to take me some time to deprogram from the Waglreens way.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda - Give CVS a try, I know you'll love it. As CJ said, it is so easy.
Thanks CJ for answering Lynda's questions. I'm planning a trip to CVS yet this week. I'll check the price for Purex 3-in-1.
Hi Maureen - Great job! Love CVS - love the bag tag.
Jeri--I know what you mean about the limits. With Walgreens, I'm always tempted to go back and roll. But, I have to say, on most items I only end up with two. I have found that another good deal is usually just around the corner and possibly better than today's! I like CVS too, but wish for more locations--and what's up with the crazy location on South Lindbergh--only a CVS can pull it off. Kelly
ReplyDeleteI went to CVS this morning. I got the Cover Girl bargain. I got the concealer for $10 and the powder for $6. I used the BOGO coupon and I was going to use the $1 coupon also, but I said please try this one (the $2.50 off 2) and it worked. So if you have a bogo and a 2.50/2 it will work.
ReplyDeleteI love CVS! It is so so so simple to shop there, I don't have to plan for a week before I go like Walgreens, lol. Just go and get the deals. I spent 20 oop yesterday and got $15 in ECB. And for my twnety got over $80 worth of stuff. They let you use 2 coupons on the same item and you don't need fillers. Plus I like that they are always giving extra coupons like $5 off of $20. Also, my store just put in a kiosk where you scan your card and it gives you extra cvs coupons!! I did it and got another $5 off $30!
ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten a $5 off anything yet just the regular coupons for stuff in the store :(
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly - Hopefully, CVS will continue to build stores. I had heard 8 were planned. I haven't been to the South County store on Lindbergs. You mentioned crazy location. Is is hard to get in and out of the parking lot?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 1 - Thanks for sharing your coupon expeirence. It helps us all to know what works for others.
Anonymous 2 - I'm like Rachel and am still waiting for a $5 off anything coupon. I would have thought with the new stores in St Louis, that those coupons would have been spitting out like crazy.
The Lindbergh/Lemay intersection was difficult even before CVS. If you want to go northbound on Lindbergh after leaving CVS, you have to turn right onto Lemay and cut through the South County Mall lot to get back onto Lindbergh. But I'm getting used to it. The red coupon kiosk wasnt working Sunday but I found a $4/20 coupon on the parking lot as I left :) I wish drug stores would have more counter space at the registers. It's always a chore to pile up all my items on the little counters at Wags and now at CVS.
ReplyDeleteHi CJ - I wondered how people were going to get in & out of the parking lot at the South County store. I hate that whole section of Lindberg between the Target entrance west of 55 and Lemay.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I finally took the plunge and went to CVS. I gotta tell ya I was so frustrated by the time I left there. The guy explained it to me and then tells me sorry we have no cards. Then tells me it wouldn't do me any good to buy a bag today because it wouldn't be able to go on a card. Then I am like okay how do I get my ECBs for what I bought. Then he thinks a minute and says oh I will have to write it on the bottom of your receipt and you will have to bring that back. Totally frustrated and am not sure he has any idea what he is talking about. The parking lot has only one place to take your cart to your car and it isn't anywhere near where I parked. One lady and I were not happy campers after leaving there. Okay everyone is this going to get better because I don't need another pharmacy to get frustrated with.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda. Am sorry to hear that you got a bad experience at CVS. I'm wondering...at what CVS did you go?
ReplyDeleteI went to the one at Lindbergh and Lemay Ferry.
ReplyDeleteI went online & did my card. It is frustrating to get in & out, but once you get the hang of it it's not bad. I have been many times now & I am finally getting the hang of the ECBs & they are now having what I need in stock!!
ReplyDeleteCan I do the Glade deal a total of 3 times? I just want to make sure I'm reading it correctly. Thanks
I was talking about the Lindbergh & Lemay store...LOL Sorry forgot to mention that
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda - I'm really sorry to hear you had a frustrating trip to CVS. I know they are going to have some kinks to work out with new store, but you wouldn't think they would run out of cards.
ReplyDeleteECB print at the end of your reciept. If they didn't have cards, I could see why they wrote down the infomation there.
When you go back, talk to the manager and explain what happened the day you were there. I've found CVS to be very customer service friendly. I'm sure they will honor your ECB's.
I noticed the handicapped parking at the South City store is off to the side of the building. I never though about where the crub cuts would be. If I buy soda, I'll make sure I park close to the hanidcapped spots.
Hi Rachel - Yes, you can do the Glade deal three times.
ReplyDeleteOn the receipt, before where the ECBs print, it prints your ECB weekly balance. It will show any ECB deals you have bought. It will also tell you if you have reaced your limit or if you still can purchase the deal.
Thanks for being so encouraging. I am not easily defeated so on Friday I will try it again with the items they were out of. They will get complaints about the curbs and I bet they will end up having to fix it unless they had a reason for doing it that way.
