Prices good July 18 - July 24, 2010
All four of the over the counter heartburn medicines trigger ECBs this week. I included the price per pill with my coupon match-ups.
Thanks goodness, no one in my family needs to purchase this product, so I don't know if all dosage amounts are the same. If they are, the price per pill is a good way to compare your final cost.
Thanks to Cindy at Living Rich with Coupons for this weeks' match-ups.

Hi Jeri! I am a Physician Assistant and all dosages for heartburn medicine are the same. Prilosec, Zegerid and Prevacid are in the same class of medications. Zantac is in a different class. It works faster, but won't last as long as the others:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for this great price comparison on the heartburn medication. All of them but Zantac work for me. I had to laugh at my doctor when he wanted to give me a prescription for one and I said no thanks I can get it cheaper over the counter. He said usually it is cheaper with someones co pay. I didn't go into the whole couponing thing with him but boy did I want to. CVS has been having some great deals latley on them all aldo.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim - Thanks for info. Nice to know we have and expert amongst us.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda - You're welcome. I didn't even know that once medications were availble over the counter that you could still get them with a persciption. That was nice of your doctor to want to save you a few buck.
"All You" magazine has a $3.00 off Zantac in the May 2010 issue. I don't remember the expiration date. Nancy H
ReplyDeleteI got the Schick Quattro women's 4ct refill for $8.99 - 4$Q from July "All You". Paid $4.99 with ECB's and got back a $4 ECB. The B1G1 M&M's Q took off $.89 each.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy & Judy - I've gotten so used to buying the razors, I haven't even thought about the refills. I need to keep those deals in mind too.
ReplyDeleteNo M&M pretzels or Biotrue at my CVS today. But I got 2 CVS pantyliners (the monthly ECB limit appears to be 4 sets of 2, according to my reciept), 2 mini first aid kits and a Dove candy bar for $0.00 after coups. First time I've had a zero balance at CVS! The cashier even had to adjust one of the coups so I wouldnt have a negative balance. The cashier was happy for me for my zero balance. I love CVS!
ReplyDeleteHi CJ - Thanks for the updates. It is so fun to shop at a store where the cashiers are almost as excited as you are on your deals.
