CVS
This was a great week at CVS - chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. Good thing toothpaste was a great deal, too. And, finally some good deals on shampoo and rinse. My stockpile was getting low. Before sales, coupons and rolling ECBs: $120.31

Saved: $88.69 for 95%
Walgreens
I didn't pick up too many of the Black Friday deals. I was more concerned about getting the French's French Fried Onions last Saturday and Kleenex this week. Before sales, coupons and rolling Register Rewards: $60.79

Saved: $41.94 for a 88% savings
Dollar General
Dollar General isn't a store I shop at often, but I should think about them more. I ran into a Coupon STL-ite while at Dollar General. But, I learned my lesson - don't ever head out shopping without jumping in the shower first or at least running a brush through my hair. Great to talk to you, Stacy!Comparable Schnucks price: $12.85
Spent: $3.00
Saved: $9.85 for a 77% savings
Target
It had been a long time since I'd shopped at Target, but they do have some great deals. I need to put them on my regular Sunday shopping run. Before sales & coupons: $34.46

Splurge Funds: $118.23
For those who don't read my blog on a regular basis, my splurge funds are the difference between what I've actually spent and my $50 budget. I use it for those items I never find on sale or that I don't have coupons for.
Thank you for all you do to help us save money! I am thankful for YOU!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth - I'm glad I can help you save.
ReplyDeleteWe should wear Coupon STL name tags when we go out shopping. I always see others with lots of coupons and wonder if they are Coupon STL-ites.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you giving Dollar General a try. They carry mostly name brand items and I always save money there with lots of coupons for can goods, cereal, and health and beauty. Also a good place to save on post-its and office supplies, paper products, pet food and treats, etc. when there are coupons.
ReplyDeleteSee, Dollar General can have good daals, too?! I'm glad you gave it a shot! I hope you at least found a 'nicer' store, though... :)
ReplyDeleteDo I need to buy "only" the 110 ct. Kleenex to get the $3 RR at Walgreens? Since today is the last day, am hoping my Wags will let me get 6. Wanna make sure though that I get the right "count". Don't want trouble. :) TIA.
ReplyDeleteHi All
ReplyDeleteCJ - You should have approached the shopper and introduced yourself. If they were a Coupon STL-ite they would have enjoyed meeting you. Eveyone knows CJ here.
Emily - I went to the Dollar Genral on Manchester in the city. It is not nice at all - rather pitly. But the cashier was nice and coupon friendly.
coupon.girl - I bought a combination of 110 & 78 ct. and recieve the RR.
Thanks. Crossing my fingers that my Wags still have a lot left of the Kleenex and waiting patiently for my dear hubby to give me a ride. So cold outside to walk. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Yeah, I think everyone here "knows" CJ. Everytime I see a man using coupons at the check-out register, I always want to ask him if he's single and available so I can introduce him to CJ for one her comments before got stuck in my mind---that "a coupon man" is her kind of man. :)
coupon.girl - Thanks for trying to hook me up! Maybe someday I'll find that special "Coupon Man" of my dreams :)
