The Snickers 29cent sale says a limit of 6. Anyone know if 7 will ring up okay? As long as the checker doesn't flag it.
ReplyDeletelast week 7 snickers rang up ok, so unless they instructed cashiers to start flagging that, there should be no issue.
ReplyDeleteJeri, I think you have a typo, on the second trans, you are buying 2 playtex and using 1 coupon, correct? you list it as buying one and using 2 coupons.
Hi John - Yep, like pixie_bit said, you probably won't have a problem. I bought 7 Snickers Eggs a few weeks ago and all of them rang up at $0.29. I've asked at the store I shop if they have any problem with my purchasing over the stated limit and they don't, but I don't clear shelves or over do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks pixie_bit for chatching my typo!
Here is my plan, I have a $4RR from last week to spend:
ReplyDeleteTrans #1
Carefree $.99
Luster TP $4.99
7 Snickers Eggs $2.03
Use
$.50 Carefree
$1.50 Luster
(2) $1/2 Mars
$4 RR
=$.01 OOP, receive $4, $1
Trans #2
Buy
Gatorade Prime, Refresh, and Recover for $5 total
Use
$4 and $1 RR from Trans #1
=Free, submit for $5 rebate
Final OOP $.45 (includes stamp for MIR), but turned my $4 RR into $5 cash. :)
I'm wondering about that Trident deal. They're listed as 2/$2, but will likely ring up as $1.29 and $.71, meaning the BOGO may only take off $.71. Will you be asking them to enter them manually as $1 each?
ReplyDeleteI did the trident B1G1 not long ago, and yes they end up entering it manually, it is required on the coupon. In my case, they actually used the $1.29 price of the first item the first time, and $1 another time. I think this will vary a great deal by cashier.
ReplyDeleteThanks, JB for sharing your scenario!
ReplyDeleteHi Cricket - Yes, I always forget you never quite know how Walgreens items rings up. LIke pixie_bit said, this will take a good cashier to deal with to have the $1 deducted like they should.
What is the math behind to buying the 7 eggs candies? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteKim
Hi Kim -
ReplyDelete7 Snickers Eggs @$.29 = $2.03
use (2) $1/2 coupon -$2.00
pay: $0.03 for 7
You could use your $1/2 coupon to buy 2 and get them for free, but the cashier would have to reduce the coupon and sometimes it's hard to find a Walgreens cashier who knows how to do that.
Thanks JB for the scenario!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you buy 7 Eggs, will the coupons still beep? I've ran into that a few times at my Wags.
ReplyDeleteHi Nicole S - I bought 7 a few week's ago with that coupon, and it didn't beep. But, I'm not sure you will find any left in the stores. From what I'm hearing most every store is out of stock and won't be getting more in.
