  1. I don't see a smart rinse coupon in 7/31 SS. I see Listerine Coupons, but none of them say Smart Rinse.

  2. Checked today....no Keri on the shelves yet....

  3. The Smart Rinse are on a different page. It is a kid's product and has Barbie on it.

  4. Had a good morning at Wags - Keri lotion, crayons, Smart Rinse and Aussie hairspray all free after RR and $2 coupon profit. My store had around 10 Keri, 5 Smart Rinse and a decent supply of crayons.

  6. Much thanks, CJ for the Free 8x10 info. This will make for a really great filler if picked up in the store and photo clerk is nice coupon friendly. :)

  7. I went to Walgreens (2 of them) and they had no Keri and not even a space on the shelf. One of the ladies who worked there said they don't carry that brand. nice.

  8. No Keri Lotion in my neck of the woods.

  9. I'm in New Jersey and there is no sale on any of the school supplies! I was disappointed. I was able to get the Keri, Herbal Essene, and Listerine.

  10. I had a really annoying experience at the wallgreens at olive and hanley. It was only partlyto do with coupons and rrs but another manager told me they are going to go back to the ez saver and get rid of rrs. I have only couponed under rrs what do you guys think about the easy saver?

  11. Has anyone been told that the infant care booklet - huggies coupon was a manufacturers coupon? It says it right on the coupon and the cashiers will not let me use it with an actual manufacturers coupon. I am sorry that coupon is not a manufacturers coupon. It starts with a 000 and cannot be used anywhere else.

  12. Hi All

The Keri I've seen is not on the regular shelf but in a cardboard display set up on the display shelving around the Beauty Counter. The display holds about 8 or 10 bottles. I don't know if stores got in more than those items in the display.

New Jersy - Yes, there was an extra wrap around the ad in the St Louis area with lots of great deals on Back to School items. From what I understand that "extra" ad is running in different parts of the country different weeks. Most of the schools in this area are starting within the next week or so. The ad could depend on when the shools in the area are starting.

Lisa B - Walgreens had Easy Saver rebates and RR when I starting couponing. I liked the Easy Saver rebates. See this post February 2009

    http://couponstl.blogspot.com/2009/01/walgreens-febuary-easysaver-free-after.html

But, Walgreens is also testing another type of rebate program with points. I think KC is one of the test areas. I haven't heard anyone liking that program.

Anonymous - I've heard from lots or readers getting the same "line" about Walgreens coupons being manufacturer coupons. It's an uphill battle to convince a cashier otherwise since for some reason Walgreens says they are manufacturer coupons.

If I were you I'd speak to the store manager, not an assistant. Point out to them the differences in coupons including no place to remit the Wags coupon for reinbursement. Good luck!

  14. I couldn't resist the free Contacts Solution after RR last week so I had $8 RR to use/roll today. I walked :) and got (1) Keri lotion, (1) Purex (instead of Smart Rinse which were sold-out & according to manager), (1) Crayola Crayon & (2) Colgate Total.

    Used coupons:
    -$2 Keri
    -$.50 Purex
    -$1 Colgate (from Colgate-Palmolive mailer)
    -$2.51 Colgate (FREE Q from Colgate-Palmolive)
    -$8RR
    = OOP $0.97 after tax.

    Got back: $5RR,$1RR & $4RR.

Not bad considering that I got everything for free and made a profit of $1.03 after coupons & RRs. I'm really thankful. The only thing is I COULDN'T RESIST (ughs!) speaking to the manager who sent me to his assistant manager about the Free Colgate Coupon I had which is up to $3.99 value for the cashier's explanation bothered me why he had to enter the cheaper price on the Colgate (on how their registers work now on the price of 2 on sale items). The asst. mgr.'s explanation was very long and was blah blah even mentioning that if you use a coupon, RR won't print because their system thinks you're using a RR to pay for it and more blah blah blahs. At the end, his explanation was since the 2 items were a RR deal, they can only enter the cheaper price that appeared on the receipt. Not $3 which I was expecting. :( I resisted the urge to ask "how much would your store get reimbursed for the Free Q?". Didn't want to be a smart a-- since I still need to go back there. :)

Lesson learned, if we really don't need/have to, don't use any coupon which has the word "Free" on it like B1G1free on on-sale & RR items where we have to buy more than 1 because the way Wags system & Wags employees do it now, we can't get the "correct credit" for the coupon since they would enter the cheaper/cheapest price that appears on the receipt.

I had to roll my $8 RR that's why I used my Free coupon, if not I should have just hold on to it or use it at Coupon Thursday at Shop N Save. Oh well, I still win some using it at Wags. :I

And will be using the RRs on something on sale this week that we need, Folgers Coffee. :) Oh, if only I won't need fillers... ;)

  15. Hi Coupon.girl - Yes, the way Wags is ringing up 2/$ deals now, does cause problems with a B1G1 or FREE coupon.

What did the manager say after you used the coupon and RR printed? I can't believe they still tell people that when many times they are advertising using a coupon and RR in their ad.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I already paid for everything before I talked to managers so when asst. mgr. went to blah blah about RR not printing when coupon is used, I cut him off because am really tired of hearing this "very incorrect" excuse of theirs especially that I was not asking about it. :I

Most of the time, I want to inform them on how coupons/RR actually work. The only thing is they look like the type who don't want to learn from a couponer customer. :( From my experience, I think if they can make couponers go away from their store, they will. :(
