Walgreens Deals - Week of 10/4

Sale prices good October 4 - 10, 2009

Many of the items FREE after Register Rewards in last week's ad are actually good all month. My hunch is that they stocked many of these items just for this month's sale, and won't be restocking them. I hope I'm wrong, but if your store still has any of the monthly Register Reward items, I suggest you pick them up before they're gone.

Note: There are lots of in-ad coupons this week. Give cashiers your manufacturer coupons before store coupons. You'll get the best price this way.

Remember, you can roll Register Rewards. Take a look at Quick Tip - Using Walgreens Register Rewards for rolling tips.

I highlight only the best deals. Take a look at Walgreens' full ad here.

  1. Another idea for the Nabisco 3/$3 sale--there is a $1/1 Wheat Thins printable coupon on commonsensewithmoney.com. Wheat Thins are included in the sale, making them FREE with the coupon. If you're like me and already used all the Kraft coupons the last time Walgreens had Nabisco for .99, this is great! Also, mine rang up at $1 each and not the other weird Walgreens way. :-)

  2. Kelly - Thanks for the link and info. I wasn't sure Wheat Thins would be included in the sale. And thanks for letting us know the Nabisco products run up $1 each. I hate the "weird Walgreens way". The worst part you never know until you try how those #/$ items will ring up.

  3. Robitussin DM To Go, 2 pack - $2.49

Surpringly, I found out last night that the $1 MQ that currently is spat out by the catalina machine will scan on the above product. Yes, I know it's not right, except the cashier scanned it without a thought. Too bad Wags don't have U-Scan.

  4. I rarely get catalinas when I buy anything at Wags. My friend bought all the RR freebies at the Overland Wags and got a bunch of catalinas in addition to the RRs. I bought the same items at several different Wags and didnt get any cats other than the RRs. Does anyone else here routinely get catalinas print out when they buy RR items?

  5. The Robitussin one came out the middle of last week. It intend to be use on a 10 count product, which I believe cost six and change. Like some stores registers automaticly ringing up items at the in-ad coupon prices or no sale tags in the aisles, shopping can be a hassle. Even the reader board has became an after thought in this area.

  6. I rarely get manufacturer coupons from the Cataliana machine. I get lots of coupon for Fashion Bug or some other place I don't shop, or advertising the current RR deal.

Reader board? You mean that sign out front that has said the same things for months?

I've seen stores that never put up the sale tags. I try to shop at the stores that are better at signage.

  7. Act II halloween popcorn balls are .50 each this wek. Buy 2 and use the $1/2 coupon from the Oct issue of All You magazine to get them both free!

The only catalinas I get at Wags are for Payless and Midas. I thought all of the Wags catalina machines printed the same cats, but some locations must be different.

  8. I occasionally get other cats at Wags. I got a $2 off Skippy Naturals a while back that I was able to use at Target (cashier wasn't sure if she was supposed to let me use it, but did anyway) with a $1 Target coupon, which made the pb free!

Has anyone tried the Emergen-C deal since 10/4? I looked at the hang tag on Monday and it said that the RR ran through 10/3. I didn't have time to deal with it not working, so I didn't buy.

  9. Listerine Total Care at the Wags I went to last night is priced at $5.97 (its original price) and Wags Q says $2 off. With the $2 MQ it would be $1.97, not free, so I didn't get it. :(

  10. I occasionally get MFR catalinas at Walgreens. Last good one I got was $2 off the Aquafresh Iso Active toothpaste that also had a RR deal a month or so ago. With the RR and coup, I got it free. Also got one for $1 on Pampers wipes, but even with sale prices at Walgreens, it's not a deal that can't be beat.

Also, if anyone hasn't gotten their fill of the Fusion razors, they had 10-12 at the Brentwood store today.

  11. CJ - Thanks for the Act II match-up.

Staci - I haven't tried Emergen-C this week. It is reported as a monthly RR deal on I Heart Wags. But I really don't know.

Coupon.girl - The store I visited to get pricing info for this weeks deals had one variety of Listerine Total Care for $3.99. I don't know if that was just a fluke at the one store or wrong price info on the shelf. I'm sorry if this deal caused you problems.

em - Thanks for the razor siting.

  12. The Listerine deal didn't cause me any problem because its shelf's price was already $5.97 and to confirm, I had it scanned for price check. I just wish it would be free after Qs. Maybe before the MQ expires, it will be and more so a MM. :)
