Walgreens $5 Scenario - Week of 5/16/10

The most cost effective way to shop at Walgreens is to roll your Register Rewards from week to week.

Last week's Walgreens Scenario, left you with a $5 Register Reward. Here is how I would use it this week. If you're not starting with the Register Reward, this is still a good scenario to get you started at Walgreens.

Check out all of this week's Walgreens deals HERE.

purchase:
(2) Old Spice Body Washes @$4.49 = $8.98

  1. Heads up all. I talked to one of my regular Wag's store managers and this week is inventory week. So, deliveries are stopped until Saturday or later. I suggest you go early and shop. The next delivery after Saturday 5/22 won't be until the Tuesday after Memorial Day. So, if you don't want to deal with rainchecks and mailing in the register reward forms shop as soon as you. I am heading out early in the am. Just an FYI.

  2. If you get a raincheck you can still get your register rewards? I had a manager tell me that the rain check meant you would not get a register reward.

  3. You can use the B1G1 gilette body wash coupon and the $4 off 2 gillette body wash coupon in the same transaction and pay only $.49 OOP and get a $4.50 RR. I believe that both are in the P&G May coupon insert.

I used both today at Walgreens, I had the cashier scan the BOGO first and then the $4 off 2.

  4. There is also a BOGO Hershey's coupon for milk and dark choc. bars that can be stacked with the Wags Q for .25 candy bars! Great to stock up for summertime smores!!

  5. I have had a manager figure the RR into the raincheck price and another time I had a manager refuse to include the RR into the raincheck which meant I lost out......there just is NO consistency and that is disappointing.

  6. Hi Lisa - Like Denise said, there is no consistency at Walgreens. You can ask for a rain check to include the RR value. The worst they can do it tell you no but, if you're lucky they might included it. I wouldn't expect it though.

  8. Hello everybody....I have a question. In the 1st transaction, why do you have to add a filler item if you are purchasing 3 items (2 BW and 1 aspirin) and using 3 manufacture coupons including the rr from last week?

  9. Hi Anonymous - I indcluded a filler in transaction #1 becasue many times a $1 off 2 coupon will attatch to both products. I wasn't sure how many products a B1G1 coupon would attatch to, so I was being extra safe so readers would be able to use the RR.
